About the job

About the job

The good life in focus

Quality and joy of life are in focus at Tranbjerg Nursing Home. We work purposefully to create good everyday lives together with the residents and ensure that they have a good day – every day – in a meaningful and safe community based on each citizen's wishes and self-determination. We work under the elderly reform and its 3 core values: Self-determination for the elderly , Trust in the staff and the resident-centered leadership , and Close interaction with relatives, local communities, and civil society.

We are looking for a professionally skilled and engaged nurse who wants to make a difference in the everyday life of the residents.

Every day we work purposefully to ensure a good citizen journey – always in close cooperation with the residents and with each other. Our nurses have a preventive and health-promoting view on residents' health and work systematically to maintain their functional level so they can live a good and meaningful everyday life.

As a nurse with us you will be permanently attached to one of our three houses. Here you will collaborate closely with the house's occupational therapist and physiotherapist, as well as the rest of the interdisciplinary team consisting of social and health care assistants and aides, nutrition assistants, the nursing home’s on-site physician, and the other colleagues at the nursing home.

The nurses provide and coordinate care and treatment in collaboration with relevant professionals. You actively contribute to gathering knowledge about residents' health status through close participation in their processes and ensure systematic skills development – both for yourself and for your colleagues.

Working hours are primarily daytime. There is a rotated shift from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every 3rd week. As a nurse you are also part of the South District community, where we take turns covering 13 nursing homes on weekends and holidays – two nurses at a time.

We note that the position falls within the 24/7 area. At present, the service is expected to be mainly daytime.

Your profile

  • You genuinely thrive in resident-centered practice in daily life.
  • You want to become part of a multidisciplinary team where residents' resources, needs and daily life are the starting point for the team's goals and collaboration.
  • You are professionally well-founded and work systematically with documentation and nursing assessments.
  • You are engaged, curious and contribute positively to quality work.

Why you should choose us

  • We have a strong focus on professional development and ongoing competence development
  • You will have skilled colleagues in an environment where multidisciplinary collaboration is a natural part of everyday life
  • We are an educational site for nursing students and SOSU (adult education) students
  • You will become part of a developing workplace where high health care quality, well-being and job satisfaction are prioritized
  • We have high ambitions for both professionalism and quality in residents' daily lives
  • We provide a thorough introduction that supports good relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues
  • We insist on visible and present leadership on all shifts
  • We work purposefully with early detection, triage, the care pathway model, improvement teams, UTH and person-centered care
