About the job

If you are a social and health care assistant and want to use your professional expertise, relational competences and communication skills to create even better frameworks for the treatment of residents in our care facilities – then we are confident that we can offer the right job for you here at A3.

Welcome inside at A3

The patients at A3 are diverse. A common factor for our patient pathways is that they require a high degree of cross-sector collaboration, which we work from every single day. We have a close collaboration with the outpatient residential team and the residential facilities where the patients live.

”We have room for 16 patients, and we often know the patients from previous episodes here at A3 . This enables us to work in a recovery-oriented and de-escalation-focused way, because we know the patients well, and we know what it takes to stabilise them again. It also means we have very little coercion relative to how unwell the patients are.” says your new colleague at A3.

What does your workday look like?

You will help to plan the patients’ care on the ward in a way that enables them to live a good and meaningful life in their residential unit. Here, our outpatient residential team and the residences are close collaboration partners. Our main task is cohesive patient pathways, and we place emphasis on involving the patients in their treatment preferences.

The foundation of our work is relationship-building and communication with the patient, so that the health interventions are meaningful. We work with cognitive milieu therapy (CMT) on the ward, as we know that medication alone does not ensure good recovery for the patients. This is a multidisciplinary task that doctors, nursing staff and therapists contribute to supporting. In addition, we are implementing dual-diagnosis treatment on the ward, which you will also be part of. We also work from a Safewards-oriented approach to our patients.

Why should you apply to us?

  • Everyone on the ward has completed training in cognitive milieu therapy (CMT), and you will as well.
  • We place emphasis on psychological safety. In other words… at A3 everyone feels safe to express their opinions and be themselves.
  • You want to be on a ward that spends time with the patients and where there is room to do activities both individually and in small groups. If you enjoy making music, being creative, being active, or doing garden work with our patients, that is a big plus and something we welcome greatly.
  • You have, or want to gain, professional development opportunities – for example, relevant courses or training based on your interests. We prioritise, for instance, that everyone who wants to can obtain the Region’s course for medication management for social- and health care assistants.
  • You have, or want to gain, increased knowledge of cross-sector collaboration across the region and municipality.

” I know everyone says the same thing, BUT we have a really good team spirit on the ward. We support each other, and we prioritise social activities. It creates a good atmosphere that influences our collaboration on the ward. We also think outside the box to create a more meaningful everyday life for the patients, so it isn’t so hospital-like .”
