Are you our new area ranger in Silkeborg?

Would you like to help ensure that our ambulances, paramedics, and home-visit vehicles are always ready to respond? Then you may be the person we are looking for as our new area managers.

The Prehospital Service has in recent years placed greater emphasis on subacute patients and tasks, including through the return of the GP on-call duty at night and the deployment of single-crewed paramedic vehicles.

Therefore we are now looking for a new, professionally strong colleague to our team of area managers on an efficient D/N shift, who can start February 1, 2027 or by agreement.

You will be based primarily at our base in Silkeborg, and you will also be attached to 3 fixed relief bases. From the bases you will cover the ambulances, and when needed you will also have the opportunity to relieve on our single-crewed units as well as our ambulance with subacute competencies.

Who are you?

You are trained paramedic or ambulance clinician with broad operational experience. You should be prepared to complete the subacute training, and if you are an ambulance clinician, you should be ready to be upskilled to a paramedic.

• Find the complex medical patient with potential for prehospital definitive treatment interesting, and have a general interest in the subacute task

• Have a reassuring demeanor, tone, and behavior in encounters with both the somatic and the psychiatric patient

Your ability to collaborate and contribute to a strong collegial community on the paramedic and ambulance units and within the Prehospital Service as a whole will thus be emphasized.

You must have a category B and C driving license.

Your new workplace

The Prehospital Service is responsible for the prehospital area in Region Midtjylland, and our main task and vision is "to ensure the right help, at the right time for all patients" . The Prehospital Service, like the other hospitals in the region, has operational, treatment, educational, quality assurance and research tasks. In the Prehospital Service you will meet colleagues with many different professional backgrounds, but the common thread is that we strive to do the best for the patients.

You will be employed in the Prehospital Service’s Department for ambulances and rapid-response doctor cars. The department is led by a departmental management consisting of an ambulance chief and a chief physician, as well as a functional leadership consisting of eleven functional leaders.

The functional leadership handles personnel management as well as the daily management at the bases.

The position has a reporting line to the functional leader Mikkel Frost Frøkjær.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the agreement with FOA.
