About the job

The self-governing institution Eventyrlandet is seeking a professionally engaged pedagogue for kindergarten who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a difference.

Would you like to help strengthen children's linguistic development and joy of play in a safe, creative and adventurous environment? Could you imagine joining a dedicated team where language, play and presence are central – and where you become the number 2 pedagogue on the floor? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for at Eventyrlandet!

About Eventyrlandet

Eventyrlandet is a self-governing day care on the outer Østerbro with three departments spread across three different sites. In the Lundehus department we have room for 24 toddler children and 22 kindergarten children, and in the Sions and Taksigelsen departments we have room for 66 kindergarten children in each department.

You will become the number 2 pedagogue on the floor and will join a well-functioning team where collaboration, sparring and shared purpose are at the forefront, and with us you will have time for preparation.

With us there is room for curiosity, difference and professional sparring and development, including with our PPR team, across departments, management and the board.

We use mirroring and I-support as a pedagogical method, inspired by Lars Rasborg's approach, and we have ongoing courses and direct sparring with Lars Rasborg.

We work among other things with children's linguistic development via Sprogtrappen, and several staff are certified at Sproghuset Pia Thomsen. We see it as a development staircase that gives us insight into how we support and guide the children in their zone of proximal development.

At the moment we are very focused on children's play and how we as adults can help support it. We experience that many children have difficulty joining play and social groups and need help with it.

In Eventyrlandet your tasks will include

  • To support and stimulate children's linguistic development through play, dialogue and targeted activities
  • To work with Sprogtrappen as a tool in the pedagogical work
  • To apply mirroring and I-support as a pedagogical method in daily life
  • To participate in professional courses and receive sparring and supervision from internal and external sparring partners
  • To support children's play and social relations
  • To create present and developing relationships with the children
  • To collaborate closely with colleagues, parents and management on the children's well-being and development
  • To contribute to an appreciative and positive working environment

We are looking for you who

  • Wish to and have chosen to work in a kindergarten
  • Are educated as a pedagogue or have other relevant experience from the daycare sector
  • Can function in a busy and challenging daily life, juggle many balls and grasp the most important ones
  • Are passionate about working with children's language, play and development
  • Are proactive, responsible and flexible
  • Thrive in an environment where humor, collaboration and professionalism are highly valued

We offer

  • An engaged and stable staff group
  • Good opportunities for professional sparring and development – especially in language work, play and pedagogical methods including courses and direct sparring with Lars Rasborg
  • Time for other work, which means you are not scheduled for all your hours, but have 2 to 4 hours per week for various meetings, planning and development
  • A workplace focused on well-being for both children and adults
  • Wonderful children and close collaboration with parents
