About the job

Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for people with complex mental health issues?

We are expanding and are therefore seeking several entry-level workers for team 2. With us you will be part of a specialized team where presence, structure and professional collaboration are the focal points of the support to the residents.

About Pedersvænge and team 2

Team 2 is our specialized team with 8–10 residents with complex mental health issues, including dual diagnoses and self-harming behavior. Here you work closely with colleagues and other partners on the residents' daily lives.

The position is for you who can keep an overview when daily life changes, and who want to apply your skills in a meaningful collaboration with the residents.

Your tasks

As an entry-level worker you help create stability, structure and safety in the residents' daily life. You have daily contact with the residents and participate in daily activities. Communication, observation of nonverbal signals and handling of any potential outward-directed behavior are central parts of the job. Your tasks include:

  • Support residents in ADL training and everyday practical tasks.
  • Be visible and present in common areas and contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life.
  • Coordinate tasks with partners, including police and doctors.
  • Adapt the effort and maintain overview when daily life suddenly becomes hectic.
  • Handle daily medication management and documentation according to current rules.

About you

It is an advantage if you are trained as a social and health care assistant, pedagogue or have a similar education. You may also be considered with other relevant experience in the field.

We are looking for you who

  • Take initiative and actively contribute to daily tasks.
  • Are curious about the residents and their perspectives.
  • Are open to professional development and new ways of solving tasks.
  • Thrive in an organization in development where daily life rarely stands still.
  • Collaborate well and support common agreements on the professional approach.

Practical information

The positions are generally full-time, and you should expect to work every other weekend.

Pedersvænge is centrally located in Køge town center with good transport options.
