The education

As a social- and health care assistant apprentice you will learn, among other things, about:

• Nursing and health-related tasks.
• Medication management.
• Rehabilitation and prevention.
• Communication and collaboration with citizens and relatives.
• Documentation and welfare technology.

You will alternate between teaching at the SOSU school and practical placements, where you will have the opportunity to test your knowledge in practice.

Admission requirements for the main program

To begin the education at Grundforløb 2 you must as a rule have passed Danish and mathematics at G level, corresponding to 9th grade.

If you apply for employment from the start of Grundforløb 2, you must apply to two places

• You must apply for admission to the education via www.optagelse.dk .
• You must apply for the apprentice position at Odsherred Municipality, via the button "search the position"

You must have applied for admission to the school before the employment interview .

To begin the education at the main program you must have passed Grundforløb 2 targeted at the SOSU educations.

When you apply for the apprentice position, please attach

• A short motivated application
• CV - what you have done previously (start with the newest)
• Your Grundforløb certificate if you have completed Grundforløb 2
• Documentation that you are in progress with Grundforløb 2 if you have not yet completed the program
• If you are over 25 years old and have had a recognition of prior learning assessment, this must also be attached or brought to the interview.

If you are in progress or have completed Grundforløb 2, you only need to apply for the apprentice position at Odsherred Municipality.

Practical information

You must be able to present a satisfactory private criminal record certificate in connection with potential employment.
