Become our new maître d' and create fantastic guest experiences

At Kragerø Resort we create memorable experiences for our guests every day. We are now seeking a maître d'hôtel who can lead the service team, ensure high quality and contribute to an inspiring environment for both guests and colleagues.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a service-minded and proactive maître d'hôtel who loves creating excellent guest experiences and making the team succeed together. Until June you will also have expanded responsibilities related to other roles in the F&B department, and be an important support in the daily operation of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the restaurant and the service department.
• Ensure that guests receive professional and personal service of high quality.
• Plan and coordinate service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets and events.
• Be operative in restaurant operations and support the team as needed.
• Motivate, develop and follow up with servers and other staff.
• Ensure that current routines, quality standards and HSE requirements are followed.
• Handle table reservations, guest feedback and special requests.
• Contribute to upselling and ensure good profitability in the department.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen, reception and other departments to create cohesive guest experiences.
• Participate in training of new employees and contribute to a good working environment.
• Ensure high quality in table setting, presentation and execution of events and banquets.
• The main emphasis of the position will be the evening shift. But there may be some daytime days as well if needed.
