About the job

We are looking for a colleague for a maternity leave cover in our children's group – is it you?

Since one of our colleagues has gone on maternity leave, we are seeking a maternity substitute from 1 December 2026 or earlier if possible. We are looking for an advisor who wants to help make a difference for vulnerable children and their families, prioritizes prevention and early intervention, and at the same time wants to become an active part of a stable and well-functioning group.

Sometime it is about getting your foot in the door – and perhaps the maternity leave position will be the start of a longer journey with us, if the right opportunity arises.

Your tasks as an authority advisor

In the child group you work within the Child Welfare Act with children aged 3-14 years and their families. Your tasks range from interviewing notifications, initiating advisory and guidance processes, preparing mappings and child-related assessments. Additionally, the child group’s tasks also include facilitation of network meetings, initiation of supportive interventions with subsequent follow-up.

All with a clear thread of involving the child. We place a strong emphasis on child letters and notices to the children and we constantly find new and even more ways to ensure good involvement of the child in their own case.

You will simply be responsible for the entire case process and must ensure a coherent thread and a cohesive effort for the child and the family.

We are looking for you who

  • Are newly graduated or have experience from a similar authority position – preferably from the child sector.
  • Are trained social worker or social mediator and good at expressing yourself in writing
  • It would be a plus if you have become familiar with DUBU
  • Are good at working in a structured and systematic way
  • Can work relationally with both families and other professionals
  • Thrive in a busy everyday life with many different tasks, where you move from documenting/follow-up in our case management system to hosting network meetings, child interviews and meetings with families, as well as contributing to the development of cross-disciplinary collaboration across authorities, PPR, day care and school sectors, etc.
  • Are willing to and can participate in close collaboration with our internal delivery team from Elmehuset and Egehuset

We offer

The Child Group has, with an organizational adjustment earlier this year, been reinforced with an advisor and a professional coordinator, so we are now 16 advisors, two social-educational coordinators, a regional manager and a student assistant.

We have an inspiring working environment with many development opportunities, both professionally and personally. We have a high level of trust, humor and professional sparring. We help each other, and we believe that well-being and professional excellence go hand in hand.

You will have engaged and competent colleagues in a well-functioning and stable team with a strong sense of community.

We work in an open-plan office, where there is room for both concentration and laughter. You will have access to internal training in ICS, SOS and DUBU, ongoing supervision, common professional Fridays, legal support from our skilled lawyers and sparring with methodology superusers.

Practical

  • Application deadline is Thursday, 23 October 2026 at 10:00

  • Maternity leave cover of 37 hours per week from 1 December 2026 or earlier if possible. The position runs until the end of June 2027
  • Salary according to collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating allowances.
