BI consultant for health data and management information

The Greenlandic Health Service is seeking a BI consultant to develop a new management information system. The system should give leaders and clinical areas a reliable basis for planning activity and capacity, prioritizing resources, and following the development of operations.

Today, data on, among other things, activity, waiting times and finances lie in different IT systems. Over the next few years, we will build a common data foundation and continuously develop reports that leaders and clinical areas can use in their daily work. The project also includes establishing a new data warehouse, which will make it easier to use data across systems.

As a BI consultant you will play a central role in collecting and structuring the data and building and maintaining the models, in close collaboration with 4 skilled colleagues in finance and in collaboration with our IT department.

Your tasks will include

• Develop data models, dashboards and reporting solutions for management and directors
• Develop digital tools and automated solutions that support planning and follow-up
• Compile and organize data from different systems and data sources
• Contribute to the establishment of a strong and usable data foundation and data warehouse across the health service
• Contribute to development projects and identify improvement and efficiency potentials across the organization

We imagine that you

• Have practical experience building data models and reports in Power BI or a comparable BI tool.
• Can work with data from multiple sources and have experience with e.g. SQL, Power Query, DAX or similar tools. Experience with Python or other programming for data processing and automation is an advantage.
• Can understand users' needs and translate them into solutions that are easy to use and maintain.
• Have a relevant education or corresponding experience. Your background could be in economics, business analytics, information science, engineering, IT or computer science.

About the department

The position is organizationally placed in the Finance Department and will be part of the budget team.

The Finance Department is a central staff function with responsibility for, among other things, budgeting, financial management, analyses and management information. The department supports the board and the organization's management across Greenland.

You will therefore have broad contact and the opportunity to collaborate with both clinical and administrative staff throughout the health service.

Housing

Housing will be allocated in accordance with the applicable rules in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and terms of employment, including the right to relocation travel and household effects, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, there may be an opportunity for employment as a senior consultant or chief consultant.

The position is located in Nuuk, Greenland.
