Bid Manager for a contracting company in the construction industry

Hovedstadens Bygningsentreprise A/S works with main contracts in renovation.

They have their own craftsmen (carpenters, bricklayers and tinsmiths) who perform work on roofs, windows

and facades in-house. In addition, they work with a wide range of subcontractors to provide solutions

for both interior and exterior construction tasks. Great emphasis is placed on high professionalism and quality

as well as adherence to budgets and deadlines.

The bidding department handles the preparation of bids and estimates for projects up to DKK 200 million for both

public, municipal and private clients. As a bid manager you will become part of an engaged and professionally

functioning team consisting of colleagues who are passionate about creating the best bids. There is good

collaboration with mutual respect and sparring in a sometimes hectic, but always fun day-to-day.

The job

You will manage the bidding process for larger main contracts from the invitation to tender start up to

the handover of won tasks to production. In addition you will participate in the preparation of qualitative

awarding criteria in close cooperation with our communications staff. This may include

reviewing schedules as well as proposals for processes and site plans, etc.

You will report directly to the bids and marketing manager.

About you

We expect that you are currently working as a bid manager in the construction industry and have several years of experience in

construction. Ideally you have experience with bids for the public sector.

There is no specific educational requirement for the job – perhaps you are a tradesperson,

building technician or similar. But we assume that you have experience from the construction industry, and that

you can read drawings and project descriptions. The fact that you understand the work processes and the mechanisms

on the construction site is a prerequisite for a good and sharp bid and thus also for the job. In addition

it is important that you, together with the communications team, can set the right angle on our bids regarding

process descriptions, CVs, soft values, etc.
