BIM Specialist with focus on Revit MEP, aUH

About the job

We are seeking a building designer or construction technician who works in a structured way, has strong technical understanding and thrives with complex installation models – and who is a super user in Revit MEP and an experienced user of AutoCAD (2D) at a high level.

Your primary tasks will be modeling, drawing work and setting up standard files in Revit and AutoCAD, working with installation models and quality assurance of models and drawings. In addition, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our BIM and CAD standards and workflows.

As a BIM Specialist you will be responsible for solving agreed tasks and projects and translating them into concrete solutions in close professional dialogue with the BIM and ICT manager.

You will, among other things, work with

• construction/updating, coordination and quality assurance of Revit models, including architectural (ARK) and MEP models as well as As Built deliveries
• updating and correcting drawings, diagrams and electrical switchboards in Revit, AutoCAD, etc.
• digitisation of existing installations
• supporting colleagues in using Revit and AutoCAD
• contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM and CAD standards and work according to the applicable Molio drawing standards
• work with complex and hospital-specific technical systems, e.g. pipe distribution systems, as well as specialized programs such as SEE Electrical.

We envision that you

• are trained as a building designer or construction technician
• have a minimum of 5 years' experience with BIM, design and modelling
• are a power user of Revit with a particular focus on MEP and can independently handle modelling, drawing production and setup of views, sheets, families, templates, parameters and site files, etc.
• are an experienced user of AutoCAD (2D) and can work with layer structure, xrefs, layouts, blocks, etc.
• have experience with installation design and modelling of MEP disciplines, including plumbing, ventilation, electrical and other technical installations
• have good knowledge of Molio drawing standards and an understanding of the design process, model and drawing structure
• have experience with review and quality assurance of models, drawings and technical documentation
• work in a structured, systematic and detail-oriented way and take responsibility for own tasks
• work independently and thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration
• can communicate in Danish, both verbally and in writing
• ease in adopting new software and technical systems.

It is an advantage if you have experience with Dynamo for Revit and automation.

About us

The Technical Department at Aarhus University Hospital is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the hospital's buildings, technical installations, equipment, and installations. The department comprises many different disciplines and works closely across disciplines as well as with external advisors and specialists.

Building models and digital documentation are an important part of our work on projects and form the basis for data in our FM system. You will become part of Technical Administration, which sets the direction and framework for BIM and ICT in the Technical Department – including how the Studio, Operations Team and external partners work with models, drawings and digital documentation in our projects.

Salary and employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child–care certificate.

The position is full-time (37 hours/week) with a flextime arrangement.
