About the job

A permanent position as a bioanalyst (37 hours per week) is available for filling on 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Biochemistry and Immunology is a single department with laboratory operations across Sygehus Lillebælt. At Kolding Hospital the laboratory consists of three sections, where "Hematology and Biochemistry" is one section. In "Hematology and Biochemistry" cooperation, collegial care and professional development are prioritized. The section is headed by a chief bioanalyst who places emphasis on clarity, visibility, employee involvement and cross-department collaboration.

As a new colleague you will receive a personally tailored training program, adapted to the competencies you have at the time of employment. The job includes day, evening and night shifts on all days of the week. It is expected that after training you will join the department's on-call rotation. Weekend work about every 3rd weekend.

Work in the section consists of

  • Phlebotomy team responsible for blood sampling and ECG recording in the hospital's wards and outpatient clinics
  • Analytical work within hematology, biochemistry and immunochemistry, where work tasks rotate
  • Work function using the track system
  • Diverse microscopy examinations/small analyses
  • Reagent laboratory

We are currently in the process of replacing our analysis equipment and the track system, where we normally work with a high degree of automation. In connection with the replacement we will for a longer period work with other workflows. Great emphasis is placed on quality and fast response times, as our main task is to support the clinic in diagnostic collaboration. The phlebotomy team and patient contact therefore have a very central role in the department.

As a colleague/employee we expect that you

  • Put the patient first
  • View blood sampling and ECG recording as an important core task
  • Contribute to a good patient pathway with focus on service, quality and patient safety
  • Be professionally skilled
  • Can work independently and take responsibility
  • Have the ability to maintain overview in busy and pressurized situations
  • Be engaged and flexible
  • Be open and honest
  • Have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a good work environment

What you can expect from us

  • Offer a thorough training program for all of the section's functions and the cross-department functions
  • Be engaged, dynamic and flexible colleagues where good cooperation is highly valued
  • Offer a good working environment with focus on well-being, and where you help make a difference
  • Communicate in a close and appropriate manner
  • Have a positive approach to things — even in busy and pressurized situations

In "Hematology and Biochemistry" there are 2 secretaries and 26 authorized bioanalysts, of whom 22 are on call. There is good age distribution in the section, which contributes to a high level of competence and a dynamic workplace where improvements and ideas can have space.
