Nutrition research takes place at Frederiksberg Campus, where our bioanalysts also have offices and experimental facilities. The section conducts meal studies and longer-term dietary intervention studies with single foods or whole diets in children and adult study participants. The bioanalysts work in Denmark, but there are many collaborations in both high- and low-income countries. Participants may be healthy or belong to risk groups for disease or malnutrition.

The section develops new measurement methods for dietary intake, nutrition and health effects using modern laboratory methods. Several projects focus on healthy, sustainable diets.

The aim is to create the scientific basis for nutritional strategies, with the overarching goal of promoting health and preventing disease.
