About the job

Are you a bioanalyst student, and would you like to translate your knowledge into practice, develop your professional competencies and make a difference for the patients? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of the sample collection corps at Clinical Biochemistry, SUH, Køge.

We are looking for several engaged bioanalyst students who want to work with blood sampling and ECG recording in evening and weekend shifts. If you also have the possibility to take occasional day shifts on weekdays when you have study days, there is room for that.

We know that studies come first, and therefore we plan the work based on dialogue and flexibility. You will have the opportunity to influence your work schedule so the job can fit with teaching, exams and your other study life as much as possible.

What your shifts will look like

Your primary work obligation will be evening and weekend shifts. As a rule, you can expect:

  • Weekend shifts: Typically every 2-3 weekends with day shift on Saturday and/or Sunday in the time frame 07:00-15:00.
  • Evening shifts: 1-2 shifts per week in the time frame 15:00-22:00.
  • Day shifts on weekdays: Opportunity to bid for shifts in the time frame 06:30-16:30, when it fits with your studies.

We expect you to work an average of at least 8 hours per week. We continuously adjust the working time in dialogue with you, so we can take periods with more teaching, exams and study-free days into account.

You will receive thorough training

We ensure that you are well prepared for the tasks. You will receive an individual training plan, and the training is planned according to your prior competences.

You should as a rule expect 10-12 days of training. The training takes place mainly on weekdays during daytime and is arranged in connection with the employment. It is therefore important that you can allocate some of your study-free days to training.

You will be trained in blood sampling and ECG recording. The training takes place primarily in the emergency department but also on the clinical wards at the hospital. When you can perform the functions independently you will also have some training shifts on weekdays and/or weekends.

We offer you

  • A thorough introductory program and an individual training plan.
  • A good professional and social working environment with engaged and helpful colleagues.
  • Opportunity to develop your practical skills and gain valuable experience within your upcoming profession.
  • A flexible work plan, where we together find solutions that take your studies into account.

We imagine that you

  • Are bioanalyst students.
  • Are open, flexible and positive.
  • Work carefully and have a focus on quality.
  • Have good collaboration skills and at the same time can work independently.
  • Are service-minded and have an interest in the patients and their needs.
  • Contribute to a good collegial community and preferably bring humor to the workplace.
  • Can organize, plan and prioritize your tasks.
