We are seeking 1 Youth Upskilling Consultant for our wonderful IPS team in Hvidovre Municipality. Are you passionate about working with new approaches in social work? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of our IPS team. In Hvidovre we have worked with IPS since 2021 – and we believe in the method. With IPS we create hope, direction and lasting solutions for people with mental health vulnerability who want to find a foothold in the labor market. The aim is to support the candidates in realizing their dreams of work or education through an intensive and hands-on initiative.

We are a professionally strong team that thrives on flexible work hours, balancing the job, which requires flexibility regarding when the people we work with need support – but of course also so it can fit with private life.

We are focused on creating new paths in social work through curiosity and drive. We emphasize holistic work, and therefore have many different collaboration interfaces around the candidates.

It is expected that you can be a key person and a link between all the different partners to support the individual in the best possible way in work and education.

Who are you? We imagine that you are good at building relationships and trust with our candidates and partners. You can accommodate that the candidate may have many different challenges. You focus on the candidate’s resources and potential, and meet them with respect and real curiosity.

You thrive on having many partners and being proactive in different environments and networks. At the same time you are able to build trust and collaborate across professions and organizations.

Knowledge of labor market trends and the education system will be an advantage, so you can be a sparring partner for the candidate.

The target group is youths aged 15-29.

We work with case management in the cash benefit area, so it is an advantage that you have experience with the legislation in the area.

You work methodically and results-oriented, but you are also not afraid to take initiative, think innovatively and find solutions when necessary.

If you have experience with the IPS method and experience with citizens with psycho-social challenges, that would also be an advantage, but the most important is that you are motivated to learn new things.

You must thrive in a job where self-directed work time and a high degree of independence in planning your workday with a focus on achieving results. You thrive with changing tasks during the day, many meetings outside our office, and appointments that may be scheduled late in the afternoon. However, there are no homeworking days.

That you can be persistent and a “bearer of hope” when the candidate may sometimes lose belief in themselves.

Relevant education within the social, pedagogical or humanitarian fields.

Most importantly, however, is your ability to “think outside the box,” and the desire and ability to build trust-based relationships with the candidates.

About the role as Youth Upskilling Consultant

• You meet the candidate at eye level and through a relationship with the candidate, you map, guide and enable their goals and dreams and help them find a path to education and work.
• Having a view to potential solutions to challenges that hinder the path to work and education and the ability to support development

• Handling case management in accordance with the Employment Act with a caseload of about 20-22 cases

About us You will become part of the Youth Unit in the Center for Employment and Citizen Services, where the IPS initiative is anchored. The IPS team is part of the Youth Unit in Hvidovre Municipality. We are based at Byvej 118.

You will join our IPS team. Our team is currently undergoing a transformation with a focus on strengthening Hvidovre’s overall IPS method and initiatives. Therefore you will help build a house and a unified team across the three initiatives. The team consists of 12 colleagues including a coordinator and team leader. You must therefore be ready to help build a team and a house, as well as a work culture that supports team collaboration, joint results creation and the IPS method.

You report to the Team Leader Jasmin Umar in the Youth Unit of the Center for Employment and Citizen Services.

Salary and employment This is one temporary full-time position, until December 31, 2028 with the possibility of extension. The salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement with the negotiating organization and your competencies in relation to the positions.

The positions are desired to be filled no later than January 1, 2027, preferably earlier.
