Bridge Builder for Team Youth on the Road

Do you want to help create new paths to well-being, community, education and work for young people?

More young people experience poor well-being, are outside the education and labor market, and have difficulty finding their way into communities and working life. At the same time, we see nationally and locally a growing need to create stronger coherence between municipal efforts, businesses and civil society.

Therefore, we have, in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, gathered our youth efforts in the new Team Unge på Vej. We are now looking for a bridge-builder who can create connections between young residents, civil society, companies and municipal efforts. A person who can translate ideas into action and help develop new paths to well-being, education and work.

Your main tasks will be to

Be a knowledge resource on the youth field

You must create an overview of relevant offers, activities and initiatives in the youth area and ensure that this knowledge is shared and translated into value in practice. This includes, among other things, that you:

• Map and maintain knowledge about offers and activities in the youth area
• Convey knowledge to colleagues in Team Unge på Vej and support knowledge sharing across the job center and out to other partners
• Contribute to ensuring that employees and partners know about the opportunities that exist for the target group

Be a bridge-builder to civil society and partners

You must build and maintain relationships with the many actors who every day make a difference for young people. You will have a central role in developing and maintaining Team Unge på Vejs collaboration with civil society and contribute to strengthening cooperation between the municipality, companies and voluntary actors. This can include relationships with:

• Voluntary organizations and associations
• Educational institutions
• Companies
• Social offers, local networks and communities

Develop new paths for youth and participate in activities with young people

You will help develop, test and implement new offers and collaborations that can strengthen youths’ well-being and create more paths to education and employment. This means you should be ready to work in practice in offers for young people. This could be, for example, a short establishment period for an offer or a pilot scheme until the offer is implemented and others can continue it. It could be:

• Development of new well-being and community initiatives
• Project management of smaller development projects and support of initiatives under Ungeløftet
• Or translating good ideas into concrete activities and offers

We are looking for someone who

• Has a pedagogical, social science or other relevant educational background
• Has experience working with young people and their well-being, development and participation in communities
• Has experience with organizational development and change processes – preferably in a municipality
• Has project management education, leadership experience or other relevant development background
• Has extensive knowledge of work in voluntary organizations, and what drives them
• Can build relationships and collaborate across different professions and organizations and strengthen collaboration into the team
• Can work independently while thriving in a strong interdisciplinary community and ensure a common approach
• Has strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Has an eye for opportunities and can translate ideas into concrete actions

About Team Unge på Vej

Team Unge på Vej is a newly established team with about 26 employees. The team brings together the municipality’s youth efforts across authorities, job-oriented initiatives and services and includes, among others, social workers, job counselors, mentors and other specialties. Our shared ambition is to create greater coherence, raise the level of knowledge and strengthen the coordination of the many initiatives that will help young people move forward toward education and employment.

An important part of the work is Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality’s participation in Ungeløftet, where the collaboration between the municipality, companies and civil society plays a central role.

Salary and employment

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The salary ranges from 35,000 to 42,000 DKK per month excluding pension and is set according to the principles of new pay based on qualifications and experience. The salary consists of base pay plus any allowances, and the final salary is negotiated.

Workplace: Labor Market, Lindevej 5, 5750 Ringe

Working hours: Full-time 37 hours

Permanent position with expected start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
