About the job

Do you want to help shape the future collaboration between hospitals and general practice?

Development-oriented AC consultant for the new Department of General Medicine at OUH

The health reform places new requirements on the cooperation between hospitals, general practice and the rest of the health system. More tasks must be solved closer to the citizens, and the hospitals will play an important role in supporting the development of the closer health care system.

Therefore, OUH has established the Department of General Medicine – a new department with ambitions to strengthen cooperation with general practice and create more coherent patient pathways.

We are seeking a development-oriented AC consultant who, together with the department's chief physician, will help build the department and translate the health reform's ambitions into concrete actions. You will play a central role in a new department, where you must be able to think strategically, work analytically and translate ideas into action.

Your tasks

As a consultant you will have a varied workday with tasks within development, analysis, communication and coordination. You will among other things:

  • Follow the health reform closely and contribute to translating new legislation and national initiatives into concrete actions at OUH.
  • Drive and coordinate cross-sector projects from idea to implementation with a focus on coherent patient pathways.
  • Analyze data and evaluate the department's initiatives as a basis for quality development and new actions.
  • Collect and communicate perspectives from general practice so that experiences from medical homes contribute to the development of cooperation with OUH.
  • Develop communication with the 135 medical practices in OUH's catchment area through newsletters, meetings and digital formats.
  • Support collaboration with municipalities, PLO, the health council and other actors in the close health system.
  • Further develop and coordinate OUH's practice consultant scheme.
  • Prepare decision briefs, notes and case presentations and provide secretariat support for relevant meeting bodies.
  • Support the development and daily operation of the Department of General Medicine, including meeting planning, follow-up on agreements and administrative tasks.

The position includes both development tasks and ongoing operational tasks. You will have great influence on your task portfolio, which will evolve in line with the department's establishment and the health reform's implementation.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant academic education, for example in social sciences or humanities, and preferably experience from a larger organization.

You have analytical sense, work structurally and thrive on translating complex problems into concrete solutions. You are a strong communicator, both in writing and verbally, and can collaborate with different professional groups and organizational levels.

It would be advantageous if you

  • Have experience with development work, project management or consultancy assignments, preferably from the health sector.
  • Have knowledge of the health system's organization and the cooperation between hospitals, general practice and municipalities.
  • Can work with data, analyses and evaluations and translate results into usable recommendations.
  • Have experience with case processing, decision briefs and serving management or committees.
  • Work independently, take responsibility and can keep overview of several concurrent tasks.

We especially emphasize that you are curious, proactive and collaborative. You should be eager to be part of a department under construction, where not all solutions are given in advance, and where there is room to think new ideas.

What you can look forward to

You will become part of a new department with an important task in the development of the health care system of the future.

You will get

  • A central role in work with the health reform and the development of the closer health care system.
  • Great opportunity to influence both the department's development and your own tasks.
  • A varied daily life with both strategic, analytical and practical tasks.
  • Close collaboration with the department's chief physician and a wide network across OUH and general practice.
  • An informal work environment, professional sparring and room for new ideas.
