Business playmakers sought to continue strengthening the collaboration between schools, education and industry in Esbjerg Municipality

After a longer period as fixed-term project positions, the business playmakers are now permanently anchored in UngEsbjerg as of January 1, 2027.

We are therefore seeking two business playmakers who can help strengthen the collaboration between Esbjerg Municipality's primary schools, youth education, companies and industry associations. As a business playmaker you will be a central actor in the work of creating strong connections between education and the labor market, so children and young people gain better insight into the many opportunities that exist in the local area.

You should be able to navigate confidently among different interests and needs and help develop and support initiatives that benefit schools, youth educations, companies and industry associations. At the same time, you should contribute to making business life even more of a natural partner for the municipality's primary schools and educational institutions.

We are looking for two business playmakers who

• Have extensive knowledge of the local business sector and can knock on doors with both small carpenters and large industrial companies
• Are visible and dynamic in their collaborative relationships
• Are passionate about young people's education and employment opportunities
• Are ambitious, proactive and can complete tasks
• Have knowledge of the collaboration between school, education and business life
• Are creative and innovative and at the same time able to follow up on tasks
• Have good IT skills and can help develop informational material and dissemination initiatives
• Have knowledge of the education sector and preferably experience with guidance or similar functions
• Have strong networking skills and can create value for both companies, schools, youth educations and industry associations
• Have great drive with contagious energy and enthusiasm and are good at seeing opportunities
• Are good at maintaining an overview and creating structure in a complex daily life

Your tasks will include

• Prospecting work with both new and existing companies
• You think creatively, see opportunities and translate good ideas into concrete initiatives that strengthen the collaboration between school, education and business life.
• To create and maintain relationships between primary schools, youth educations, companies and industry associations
• To support collaborations and develop initiatives that enhance young people's knowledge of education and career opportunities
• To function as a link between the education world and the business life
• To coordinate and support activities that promote the interaction between school and business life
• To contribute to the development of the municipality's overall efforts within school-, education-, and business collaboration
• In collaboration with the other business playmakers to be responsible for further development of the internship portal on ude.nu

As a business playmaker you will be employed by UngEsbjerg and will be part of a team consisting of a total of 5 business playmakers and 17 education and career counselors. In addition, you will collaborate with Business Esbjerg.

Because the position involves close collaboration with many parties, much of the work will take place at the companies, in the municipality and at the schools. Therefore it is required that you have a valid driver's license.

We at UngEsbjerg are, among other things, inspired by the evidence-based method and pedagogy KRAP (cognitive, resource-focused, appreciative practice) – both in our concrete approach to the students and in our work in our professional learning communities.

Salary and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the rules on local salary formation.
