Unique and exciting professional coordinator position in Youth Guidance and Vocational Cooperation (UUE) Copenhagen

Then you might be our new professional coordinator in Youth Guidance and Vocational Collaboration (UUE).

About the position

As a professional coordinator you will be responsible for the professional leadership of a number of guidance counselors in primary school in one or more of Copenhagen's geographic areas. The counselors work at public schools, private schools, special schools, day-treatment schools as well as 10th grade across the city. The counselors are on the ground at the schools, but also use Korsgade 30, Nørrebro as workplace. Here you will also have your workplace and daily activities.

You will be part of a group of three professional coordinators in the guidance department, with whom you will have close cooperation on daily task solving as well as development of the guidance area in general. You will also have a very close collaboration with the department head and the rest of the leadership team in UUE.

As a professional coordinator you help set the professional direction for the UU guidance in the Municipality of Copenhagen. You must be able to create the framework for a common professional practice, support the guidance counselors' professional reflection and ensure they have the necessary framework and prerequisites to solve their core task, while you also have responsibility for cross-cutting projects and development tasks.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include

• professional leadership of a number of counselors.
• planning and conducting monthly area meetings in close cooperation with the area manager
• handling of ongoing professional questions and challenges from the counselors
• ensuring common workflows and procedures that support quality and coherence in the guidance effort
• supporting professional reflection and development in the staff group
• contributing to the shared professional direction and development of UU guidance in the Municipality of Copenhagen
• coordination and responsibility for cross-cutting projects and development tasks, e.g., framing the counselors' role with regard to e.g. junior master apprenticeship or cooperation with external partners
• planning and facilitating workshops focusing on guidance professionalism and presentations at department meetings and similar.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

• have experience with or insight into the education sector – e.g. educational guidance from a UU center, a youth education institution or similar
• have a diploma in education, vocational and career guidance or other relevant educational background
• are passionate about professional leadership and about creating direction for a staff group
• have strong guidance professionalism and can support professional reflection and development
• are strong communicatively and can convey professional and organizational messages in a clear and engaging way
• are organized and have an eye for daily operations while also being attentive to long-term development tasks
• thrive in coordinating and collaborating across professional fields and organizational units
• are eager to facilitate processes, workshops and professional discussions and are comfortable giving presentations to larger audiences internally as well as externally
• thrive in working closely and in alignment with your nearest colleagues in the professional coordinator group as well as the department head.

It is also a plus if you have experience using data and digital tools to identify development needs and strengthen the quality of daily work.

Who are we?

UUE Copenhagen consists of a guidance department with more than 60 educational counselors as well as a department with support and efforts, which among other things handle tasks within internships, bridging programs, introductory courses and other guidance initiatives that cross the municipality.

Employment terms

The position is full-time with starting no later than January 1, 2027. Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement and contracts.
