Cardiology seeks a temporary replacement for a project nurse at Aarhus University Hospital

Are you interested in working with heart patients who participate in research projects? As a project nurse, you will primarily be responsible for tasks related to the inclusion of patients in scientific studies and follow-up of these patients in close collaboration with other project-employed staff.

The project nurse shall manage ongoing and new projects. In our project portfolio we focus, among other things, on patients who are on anticoagulant therapy due to a mechanical heart valve, as well as patients with hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The research team has strong competencies with great accessibility in a flat structure.

Two project nurses are assigned to each research project, and there is also close collaboration with the medical research leader and external partners, including pharmaceutical companies. The project nurse works independently with patient studies and data handling, blood sampling, ECG recording, eCRF etc.

The vacancy is funded by research funds and is, as a rule, a full-time position with shifts every 4 weeks at the Cardiology Department. If you wish for another distribution between clinical work and research or a lower number of hours, this can be discussed at the employment interview.

The vacancy is initially from December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter to September 30, 2027, but there are good opportunities for extension.

We are looking for a project nurse who

• is good at creating overview and has experience working with logistical challenges
• is good at handling multiple tasks in parallel
• has good English skills
• is familiar with IT at user level
• is independent, flexible and able to collaborate across disciplines
• has initiative and a desire for new challenges
• minimum 3 years' experience with heart patients
• experience from employment as a project nurse is an advantage but not a requirement for applying for the position.

Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child background check and a satisfactory authorization.

There may be a probation period in the first 3 months of employment (only applicable to new hires)

The position is, as a rule, a full-time position.
