About the job

Caseworker, Citizenship Service – with a focus on pension and civil registry

Do you have a knack for case handling, do you thrive with responsibility and professional challenges, and do you value good collegiality? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for for Citizenship Service in Brønderslev Municipality.

We are seeking an engaged and service-minded colleague who wants to work with case handling in the pension area and at the same time be part of the task solution in the Civil Registry.

With us you will be part of a department that emphasizes high professionalism, good collaboration and an informal tone. We have a varied everyday life where we help each other, share our knowledge and pull together.

About the job

You will get a versatile position where your tasks are distributed between the pension area, the civil registry and the other citizen services. You will thus be part of a varied daily life with both independent case processing and direct contact with citizens.

You will work with legislation, authority decisions and guidance to citizens. It requires that you can work independently, have an eye for detail and at the same time be able to meet citizens with respect and understanding.

Your tasks in the pension area will include

  • Processing and administration of the state pension
  • Processing of applications for ordinary and extended health allowance
  • Processing of applications for personal allowances, including ongoing benefits and single benefits
  • Administration of deductions and other tasks in the Municipal Pension System (KP)
  • Document processing and invoicing
  • Guidance for citizens and partners
  • System administration in KP

In the civil registry area your tasks will include

  • Processing of relocation cases as well as in- and out-movements
  • Case processing regarding residence registration
  • Tasks within health insurance
  • Guidance for citizens and partners
  • Tasks related to elections, including mail-in ballots

In addition, you will participate in the other citizen services, including

  • Personal expeditions regarding MitID, passport and driver's license
  • Telephone service and guidance to citizens
  • Help with digital self-service

You will be part of the department's duty roster for citizen service. We also have a branch at the library in Dronninglund, where you will also be included in the duty roster and provide citizen service.

You must be prepared that tasks can evolve over time, and that we help each other across tasks.

Who are you?

We imagine you have a relevant office education, preferably in public administration, and experience with municipal case handling.

It is a prerequisite that you have a good understanding of systems, are digitally strong and quickly able to understand new IT and professional systems. You must be able to work independently in different systems and have an understanding of how they support daily task solving.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with the pension area, the civil registry or the Municipal Pension System (KP).

We especially emphasize that you

  • Work in a structured, thorough manner and have an eye for quality in case processing
  • Have an understanding of the law and thrive on making authority decisions
  • Have a strong system understanding and work confidently in digital professional systems
  • Can work independently and at the same time value professional sparring
  • Are curious, proactive and eager to develop both yourself and the task solution
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully – even when a decision is not what the citizen hoped for
  • Are adaptable and thrive in a daily life where plans and priorities can change, and where tasks do not always develop as we had imagined
  • Are flexible and contribute positively to collaboration and the joint task solution

We are looking for a colleague who takes responsibility for their tasks, but also sees the value in helping others. You must be able to keep an overview when it is busy, and want to be part of a department where we take our work seriously and have room for a good laugh.

What can we offer?

With us you get a workplace with engaged colleagues who have great professional knowledge and are happy to share it with one another.

We offer

  • An exciting and varied daily life with independent areas of responsibility
  • A strong professional community with opportunities for sparring and knowledge sharing
  • An informal tone where helpfulness and good humor are a natural part of daily life
  • Thorough training based on your experiences and competencies
  • Opportunity for professional development and influence on task solving
  • Flexibility and freedom with responsibility
