Logistical caseworker for the Supply Department at the Defence Supply Service in Karup

Do you have a passion for logistics and efficient supply chains? Do you have experience with materiel management and logistical case handling and are you motivated by creating structure, consistency and progress? Then you might be the person we are looking for as one of our upcoming caseworkers for our supply section in the Supply Department at the Defence Supply Service in Karup.

About us

The Defence Supply Service is a modern logistics company and a central actor in the Defence supply chain. We support the Ministry of Defence Group with delivering all types of supplies and logistical services, both nationally and internationally. We deliver logistics on time to all Defence users with the highest possible precision. The Supply Department is headquartered in Karup with garrison-near supply centres across the country.

You will become part of the Supply Department staff in Karup as a caseworker in one of the two supply sections. The sections consist of both military and civilian staff with high professionalism, broad experience and a varied task portfolio.

We work in an environment characterized by collaboration, responsibility and flexibility with focus on quality, timeliness and a solution-oriented approach to tasks. It is therefore important that you thrive in a diverse daily life and are able to quickly get up to speed on new case areas.

There is freedom with responsibility, flexible frameworks and an informal tone with room for humor in everyday life, and with an expectation of travel activity related to task execution, meetings, seminars and similar shorter activities.

About the position

As a logistical caseworker you will play a central role in coordinating logistical operations across Defence supply centres. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Coordinate logistical operations and ensure consistent processes across supply centres
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of the supply chain and stock levels
  • Undertake independent case handling within the section's areas of responsibility
  • Act as an expert sparring partner and contact point (POC) for internal and external partners
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and coordination with relevant authorities and partners

The position involves close collaboration with all actors in the supply chain. You will have a daily life with both staff work, coordination and concrete operational tasks, where you help translate professional solutions into practical effects for the supply centres, the operational units and the individual soldier.

The workplace is Karup and there will be some travel activity in connection with meetings, seminars and collaboration activities.

We offer

  • An exciting and professionally challenging job in a central logistics function
  • High degree of responsibility and influence over your own tasks
  • Flexibility and good opportunities for professional development
  • A strong collegial community with high professionalism and good cooperation
  • A daily life with varied tasks and broad contact surfaces across the entire Defence

About you

We imagine that you have vocational training, and that you have administrative and logistics experience from previous roles.

You thrive working in a joint environment where there are both civilian and military employees, and you focus on contributing your knowledge both in the section and the rest of the organization. You have strong qualifications and competencies within logistics and case handling. We also expect you to be flexible, change-ready and most importantly: material and logistics is what you are passionate about.

You have a high professional level within the use of DeMars SAP, particularly with inventory management.

To thrive in the position it is essential that you enjoy working among other people, are outgoing and good at networking, as most of your tasks will involve a high degree of coordination across the organisation and with the services and commands. You communicate clearly both in writing and orally, as you will be responsible for informing other authorities of decisions and determinations, where it is crucial that messages are not misinterpreted.

You can collaborate across and at multiple levels, have a structured approach to task solving based on a holistic view, and you can make effective decisions. You possess natural decisiveness while also having the necessary patience and perseverance.

Employment terms

Note the position is advertised for both civilian and military recruitment.

You are employed under the applicable collective agreement at any given time

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating allowances. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

Your fixed workplace is Karup.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to serve outside the country, including at units in international operations with the aim of participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.
