About the job

Would you like to use your occupational therapy or physical therapy professional skills in an authority role where good solutions are created close to the citizen and in collaboration with skilled colleagues?

Then we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are seeking a case-handling assistive device therapist for our authority area in Health and Elderly. You will become part of an experienced group of therapists where we help each other, share our knowledge and together find solutions when a case requires a little more.

With us you get a daily life with both independent responsibility and a strong professional community. The tasks range broadly within the assistive devices area in the form of, among other things, smaller housing cases, assistive devices, seating positions, other assistive device solutions, but you will primarily handle applications for body-worne assistive devices.

Your daily life with us

As a case-handling therapist you follow cases from application and professional assessment to decision and follow-up. You meet citizens with very different needs, and therefore two workdays are rarely the same.

You will among other things be working with

  • case processing within the assistive devices area under the Public Welfare Act sections 112, 113 and 116
  • body-worne assistive devices
  • assessment and professional evaluation of the citizen's needs
  • advice and guidance to citizens and relatives
  • smaller housing changes and complex assistive device solutions
  • written decisions and documentation in NEXUS
  • coordination and collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups both inside and outside the organization.
  • Telephone shifts
  • Close collaboration with colleagues in Technology and the Assistive Device Depot.

Part of the work takes place with citizens at their homes, where your therapeutic professionalism is important when needs, functional ability, and possible solutions must be assessed in the citizen's concrete everyday life.

Who are you?

You are educated as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist and you want to work at the intersection of professional assessment, legislation, dialogue with the citizen, and concrete solutions.

We expect that you

  • work holistically and can translate your therapeutic expertise into good solutions
  • have an eye for both the citizen's needs and the framework we work within
  • communicate clearly, respectfully and at eye level
  • are good at writing and preferably have experience with drafting decisions
  • have knowledge of or interest in authority work and the administrative law rules
  • can create structure and keep overview, even when there are many different tasks
  • thrive in collaboration and professional sparring
  • would like to have experience with or interest in housing changes.
  • have a valid driver's license.

You will become part of a professional community

You will become part of a group of engaged colleagues where professional sparring is a natural part of everyday life. We believe that we find the best solutions when we bring our different experiences and professional perspectives into play.

You also get the opportunity to delve into your own cases and take responsibility for task completion.

We offer among other things

  • a permanent position of 37 hours per week
  • a strongly professional environment with engaged colleagues
  • opportunity for sparring, learning and professional development
  • a varied daily life with both independent and joint tasks
  • association with a fixed home care area and fixed nursing homes
  • mentoring and a good introduction to the tasks.
