Caseworker for the sickness benefits department

We are seeking new colleagues for the sickness benefit team in Frederikssund Municipality.

You will become part of a well-functioning team of 21 capable caseworkers who place emphasis on close collaboration and a good sense of community!

Your profile

The right candidate has a social science education as social worker, social facilitator, or similar. Experience with the sickness benefit act and the employment area is a great advantage, but not a requirement.

We have good success in training and developing newly graduated employees for the department, so don't let that hold you back from sending an application.

You must dare to make the right decisions when necessary, as authority is the primary part of our work. It is important that you can work systematically and independently.

Equally important is that you are a team player with good collaboration skills and a good mood – then you will be a good match with our department.

Your responsibilities

In Sickness Benefit and Job Clarification we work purposefully to retain citizens in employment and support them in their return to the labor market. In the coming years we will work with this in a project, where we have particular focus on new working methods and the right actions for our citizens.

We work with the dignified citizen journey and good communication is at the forefront of our work.

Your main tasks will be to conduct conversations with citizens and assess incapacity for work. You will collaborate closely with company consultants, mentors and other departments as well as external partners such as companies, other actors, doctors, etc.

Our caseworkers handle both job clarification processes and sickness benefit cases from start to finish. Like all other municipalities, we are in the process of implementing new legislation, designing new interfaces and workflows – all in all a very exciting time. We continuously work with sparring groups and professional focus and in addition we have group supervision.

We offer

We have 2 vacancies at 37 hours, where you have the opportunity to make a difference for the citizens of Frederikssund.

• A permanent position.
• A fixed-term position for 2 years.

In both positions there is a flextime arrangement and one weekly day of remote work, after you have settled well into the job and the department.

We have a good working climate in a dynamic department with good physical facilities – not an open-plan office. In addition, we have an individually tailored mentoring program for new employees, so you get a good introduction to our work.

Our workplace is smoke-free, and we have a good and healthy canteen.

Center for Employment and Social sits a 5-10 minute walk from the station and close to water and nature.

Salary and terms of employment follow the current collective agreement.
