We are looking for day carers in Gistrup and the University area

Are you passionate about working professionally with children? And do you want an independent daily life where you plan the day's program yourself based on the children? Then Aalborg Municipality's day care might be for you!

As a day carer in Aalborg Municipality you work from home and at the same time you have colleagues across the city. Cuddles and smiles are part of everyday life, and you get the opportunity to make a difference in the most important years of the children's lives.

You and your day care children set the pace yourselves, giving time to be ambitious about the pedagogical work with each child.

The most important thing is that you are empathetic and able to create good relationships with children and parents. Although the job is independent, you become part of a large network. You will always have a team behind you, ready with support and sparring, and you have the opportunity to meet with your colleagues.

We expect that you

• have good intuition and can create security and good relationships through care and presence
• can see each child's needs and plan your day accordingly
• are passionate about working professionally and pedagogically with children – where the children's well-being, learning and development are always in focus
• want good collaboration - with children, parents, colleagues and day care pedagogues
• offer your home as a resource, so the home becomes part of a safe and inspiring environment where children can learn
• are able to work closely with cross-disciplinary partners; for example speech therapist, physiotherapist/occupational therapist, Interdisciplinary Team, Health Visitor and others

All new day carers participate in programs with basic training – including ICDP, language, body and movement, learning and development environments, parent collaboration and first aid. You will be equipped to work with translating the Daycare's curriculum into how you create the best settings for children's learning, well-being, development and formation.

Your salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the unionised organization. Background checks and criminal record checks will be obtained before final employment.
