At Sparekassen Thy we are looking for a compliance officer who is motivated by translating legislation and regulatory requirements into concrete value for the organization. You will become a central sparring partner for both management and the business and will play an important role in supporting our continued operation as a responsible, secure and well-run mutual savings bank, while also pursuing our strategy to develop the bank.

You will have an autonomous area of responsibility with great influence on your work and the opportunity to put your professional mark on the development of the compliance function, which also includes a part-time compliance employee, and therefore there will also be personnel responsibility.

About the job

As Compliance Officer you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the savings bank's compliance with applicable law, rules and internal policies. At the same time you will be an important sparring partner for management and the business and contribute to ensuring that compliance is naturally integrated into the bank's development.

Your main tasks will be to

• identify and assess compliance risks
• conduct compliance controls and follow up on recommendations
• advise management and the business on compliance matters
• contribute to the implementation of new legislation and regulatory requirements
• prepare reporting to the executive board and board of directors
• contribute to the development of internal processes, policies and instructions
• support a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.

You will have broad contact and will be an important sparring partner when new initiatives, products and workflows are assessed from a compliance perspective.

We also see great potential in digital solutions and AI as support for the compliance work and expect you to be curious about new possibilities to create value, quality and efficiency in the compliance function.

Who are you?

You have strong professional expertise and an analytical and structured approach to your work. At the same time you understand that compliance creates the greatest value when rules and requirements are translated into solutions that work in practice and make sense for the business.

• have experience with compliance within the financial sector and a solid knowledge of financial regulation and governance
• work independently, take responsibility and are able to prioritize in a day with many different stakeholders
• communicate clearly and with trust and can make complex issues understandable

• are positive, engaged and curious about both people, business and new opportunities
• actively contribute to the community and meet colleagues with good energy, a twinkle in the eye and preferably a healthy sense of humor
• want to continuously develop both yourself and the compliance function.

You may have a legal, economic or another relevant educational background. What matters to us is your professionalism, judgement and ability to get compliance and business to work well together.
