Consultant – create coherence between data, systems and operations

Then we have an exciting position in the Social and Health Administration of Middelfart Municipality.

We are looking for a consultant for Quality and Coherence with a start on 1 December 2026, who will strengthen our work with operation data, understanding of duty rosters, finances and support for the operation in the Senior and Health area as well as Disability and Psychiatry area.

We are looking for you who can both dive into data and systems and thrive when you work closely with managers and staff to develop and improve the daily operation.

Your role – from data and analysis to action in operations

As a consultant you will, together with the department's other consultants and system administrators, be an important part of the work with management information, data, support and financial understanding. Your primary task is to create coherence between the systems and the reality they are meant to support.

You must delve into systems and data, understand the connections and translate them into information and tools that make sense for managers and staff.

The position is therefore not only a job behind a screen. You must go out into the operations, understand the challenges that managers and staff face, and help them translate analyses and knowledge into concrete solutions. This requires that you can facilitate processes, create a shared direction and follow up on the solutions being implemented and anchored in practice.

You will particularly work with

• Systems, data and management information – Nexus, KMD Opus roster and the municipality's finance and payroll systems.
• Economy and operational support.
• Process leadership, development and implementation.

Your tasks

You will have a broad task portfolio with both operations-, support-, development- and project tasks, and you will among other things:

• Develop and maintain management information, reports, dashboards and management tools.
• Work with data extracts and analyses from Nexus as well as finance and payroll systems.
• Compile data and analyse relationships between activity, staffing, wage consumption and economy.
• Identify deviations and support managers in understanding and acting on them.
• Contribute to good data quality and consistent registration practices through dialogue and collaboration with operations.
• Provide operational support as well as advise, guide and train managers and staff in the use of systems and data.
• Plan, manage and facilitate processes where managers and staff jointly develop solutions and improve workflows.
• Drive implementation tasks and ensure follow-up and anchoring of new solutions in practice.
• Develop digital solutions and tools in collaboration with operations.
• Participate in the department's other work

One concrete task will be to support and develop the work with roster planning as part of the reform work. This occurs in close collaboration with managers, staff and other consultants in the area. Together you shall develop good workflows and create a sensible coherence between staffing, tasks and finances. If you have system administration understanding in relation to the care system Nexus, and can work with this, it would be a big advantage.

You must thrive with both independent analysis and close collaboration with the organization. Your task does not stop when the analysis is finished. You must also be able to communicate the results, challenge existing workflows and facilitate the processes that bring the solutions from idea to action.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant educational background and experience with, for example, systems, data analysis, finances, management information or process development. Preferably combined with a practical understanding from the health sector or from a social- and health administration.

Your concrete education is therefore not decisive. The most important is that you have a strong system understanding, analytical mindset and a desire to work in a municipal organization where you must both dive deep and be close to operations.

• Work in a structured and independent manner and at the same time be curious, proactive and good at building relationships.

It is an advantage if you have experience with Nexus or municipal finance and payroll systems, but it is not a requirement to know all systems beforehand.

Quality and Coherence

You will become part of Quality and Coherence, a cross-cutting department in the Social- and Health Administration, which supports and develops our operations across the Senior and Health as well as Disability and Psychiatry.

We work with many different professional disciplines and tasks, including quality, documentation, system support, welfare technology, competence development and organizational development.

We value cross-disciplinary collaboration, being close to operations and finding solutions that make sense in practice and can be felt in daily life.
