Consultants for Banedanmark's Center for Political Liaison

We are seeking three political consultants for the Center for Political Liaison in the Staff at Banedanmark. We work closely with the management and the other senior leaders at Banedanmark. In the Center we are proud of our secretarial professionalism, but always ready to broaden our perspective and learn from each other and the processes we are part of. The Center for Political Liaison is a relatively new center with new leadership and new working methods. We work to ensure Banedanmark's notes and decision briefs enable supporting the goal of a green, attractive railway.

We are almost 40 employees in the Center for Political Liaison, who are located in Copenhagen and Ringsted. Your upcoming workplace will be in Copenhagen, but there may be tasks that require you to work from our premises in Ringsted.

Broad range of exciting tasks

As a political consultant in the Center for Political Liaison, you will be responsible for ensuring that notes and decision briefs come in on time and with high quality. The Center for Political Liaison often handles complex tasks. You must therefore thrive with many varied tasks that sometimes need to be solved in parallel and with tight deadlines. You will, among other things, be:

• assisting management across Banedanmark with management support, meeting support and political liaison on different topics and areas.
• preparing, quality-assuring and contributing to cases and decision briefs to Banedanmark's management, the Ministry of Transport, among others.
• ensuring overview and progress on orders, and that cases and cross-cutting efforts are coordinated in a large organization with many involved parties.
• being a sparring partner and contributing constructively to your colleagues about sound management support and good notes.

Targeted approach, friendly and with skilled writing abilities

We imagine that you have a social science academic background, e.g., cand.scient.pol., and at least 2-3 years of experience from a politically governed organization, such as an agency or a ministry, or from a similar position in the private sector.

You thrive in a day-to-day life with complex problem statements and many agendas, where analytical sense, an overview and good process skills are required to create momentum. With a systematic and solution-oriented approach you manage to create structure, follow up on tasks and see connections across. At the same time you have a eye for both detail and the whole and are motivated to find solutions that not only work in the individual case but also contribute to a well-functioning organization.

Good collaboration skills and a professional, trust-building approach are important in working with many stakeholders and organizational interfaces. Here you contribute with independence and a sense of responsibility and with an understanding of roles and decision-making processes that make it easier to create clarity, coherence and efficient workflows – even when pace is high.

Experience with the railway sector is not a prerequisite. The most important thing is the willingness to delve into a complex field, navigate many considerations and help find good solutions. The necessary knowledge about railways we will help you build.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed under the currently applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed on the basis of academic seniority and experience as an employee at the base level according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is potential for negotiation of supplements. There will be an employer-financed pension scheme of 18.07%.
