About the job

Familiekontoret Bifrost recruits contactpersons for children and young people with serious life challenges, where adult contact is offered as a supplement to the support the family can provide themselves.

As a contactperson you help support the child’s well-being, safety and emotional development. The target group ranges from children and young people with mental disabilities such as ADHD and autism to social and emotional challenges.

You will work based on an action plan in which educational goals appear, and a status update is prepared every six months.

When hiring contactpersons, we emphasize experience with working within the social and special education field and experience in building relations with children and/or young people – either from work or leisure.

We expect you to be

• strong in relationship-building
• good at dialogue – both listening and speaking – and not afraid to articulate what is difficult in an appreciative way
• open-minded and patient, but at the same time persistent
• responsible and flexible in task execution and follow through on agreements with the child/young person
• willing to cooperate with a advisor, which entails working with sub-goals and tasks that appear in the action plan – and show accountability in relation to contacting the advisor if there are changes in the agreements between follow-up meetings
• respectful of other cultures

Advisor at the Family Department supports and guides the contactperson in the specific task and calls for follow-up meetings regularly.

Hours: The tasks vary in both weekly hours and geographic location (Vejle Municipality). Working hours typically fall in the afternoon, evening or weekends, so it can easily be combined with studies and other work. You are employed on a contract for the individual task, which typically amounts to 2-6 hours/week.

It can be an advantage if you have a driver's license and a car.
