Om stillingen

As a chef you will be the operational link between the head of kitchen and the rest of the team. You are responsible for ensuring structure, quality and overview in the kitchen's daily operations – from mise en place to service – and you naturally step in when the house buzzes with activity during events and cultural happenings.

Dine opgaver

• Ensure an efficient and well-coordinated daily operation in collaboration with the head of kitchen
• Plan and allocate tasks in the kitchen, and support the team in carrying them out
• Work with seasonal ingredients and ensure that taste, aesthetics and sustainability go hand in hand
• Take responsibility for ordering, planning and supplier contact in the absence of the head of kitchen
• Assist at events, banquets and arrangements.
• Maintain Madkartoteket's high standards for hygiene, quality and ecology

• Has solid experience from a professional kitchen – preferably as an experienced chef
• Has an overview and structure – and the ability to stay calm when the pace picks up
• Is passionate about seasonal ingredients, flavor and the green kitchen
• Is professionally ambitious, but also a team player with a focus on collaboration and well-being
• Has natural leadership and a desire to develop colleagues and working routines
• Sees value in sustainability, ecology and responsible production

• A full-time position in the heart of Copenhagen – at one of the city's most beautiful cultural venues
• A varied everyday life with both cafeteria operations, events, café and cultural events
• Close collaboration with an engaged team, where quality and community go hand in hand
• Good working hours, generally Monday to Friday between 07:00–15:00. There may be work at other times in connection with peak seasons and special events. This will always be planned well in advance and after further agreement.
