Can you create direction, coherence and momentum in an exclusive commercial building?
Are you motivated to lead cross-disciplinary technical installations in a standout commercial building with one of Copenhagen’s most attractive locations?
Do you have both the technical understanding, the financial overview and the managerial impact to bring together employees, consultants and specialist contractors around common goals?
Then you may be the person we are looking for as a cross-disciplinary technical construction manager at NCC.
A central leadership role on the project
You will become part of NCC’s project organization at Lodshusene in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn – an exclusive commercial building in one of the capital’s most attractive and dynamic areas.
Lodshusene is a modern commercial building with a luxurious location close to the water, and with Nordhavn’s distinctive blend of city life, architecture and maritime surroundings as the setting. The project places high demands on quality, coordination and technical execution.
As a cross-disciplinary technical construction manager you will have a central role in the execution of the project’s technical installations. You will share responsibility for creating coherence between the technical disciplines and ensuring that the project’s solutions are validated and can be planned, executed, tested and handed over as a well-functioning whole.
You will be an important sparring partner for the project management and will have a broad contact surface to NCC’s own employees, the client, advisers, trade contractors and suppliers. The role requires you to maintain an overall view while being close enough to the project to intervene when decisions, coordination or progress require it.
Your responsibility
You will have the overall responsibility for the cross-disciplinary management and coordination of the project’s technical contracts in agreement with the project Lead Buyer. This means, among other things, that you shall:
- Be able to set direction for the overall execution of the technical installations.
- Lead and support contract managers and other technical key personnel.
- Ensure cross-disciplinary coordination among, among others, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, cooling, BMS, sprinklers as well as fire and security installations.
- Follow up on economics, contract conditions, risks, changes and forecasts.
- Ensure realistic and coherent schedules for procurement, production, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Ensure the maintenance of the defined interfaces between installations, the building works and the project’s other deliverables.
- Ensure that major and minor decisions are made and carried through at the right times.
- Actively contribute to collaboration with the client, advisers, authorities, contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the project’s requirements for work environment, safety, quality and external environment.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for optimization and ensure solutions that are technically functioning, buildable and financially responsible.
- Contribute to a strong professional environment and a collaborative culture where we succeed as one integrated project team.
You create results through people
We envision you as a clear and trust-building profile who can unite different professions and interests around a common direction. You can set demands and make decisions, but you also know that the best results are achieved through dialogue, involvement and clear agreements.
You work in a structured way and maintain composure when complexity is high and many activities compete for attention. You take ownership of the whole, follow up on agreements and have an eye for both the technical details and the project’s overall goals.
At the same time you contribute to an open and constructive culture where we help each other, share knowledge and make it attractive to be part of the team.
Your background
Your educational background could, for example, be as an electrical installer, plumbing installer, marine engineer, building constructor or technical engineer. The crucial thing is that you have built a strong understanding of technical installations and the management of complex contracts.
We emphasize that you
- Have solid experience with leading larger technical contracts or complex construction projects.
- Have experience with cross-disciplinary coordination of several installation disciplines.
- Have a strong economic and contractual overview.
- Can lead and develop contract managers and other technical profiles.
- Understand the relationship between design, procurement, execution, testing and handover.
- Communicate clearly and professionally across organizations and disciplines.
- Master Danish in writing and speaking at a high level. If you have experience working in English, that can be an advantage.
You don’t need to have all the answers in advance. The most important is that you have the experience, judgment and leadership strength to find the right solutions together with the NCC team.
With NCC you get
As a cross-disciplinary technical construction manager you will have a role with great responsibility and a real opportunity to influence both the project’s success and the way we work together.
You will become part of a strong technical environment with engaged colleagues who work on some of the industry’s largest and most complex projects. You will gain access to a broad professional network and good opportunities for both professional and personal development.
With us you get, among other things
- A central role in an exclusive and prominent commercial building in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn.
- An attractive workplace close to the water and in one of the capital’s most exciting development areas.
- Significant influence on the execution of the technical installations.
- A strong professional community and sparring with experienced colleagues.
- Opportunity to develop both people, processes and technical solutions.
- A workplace where safety, collaboration and integrity are the foundation of our results.
- Good opportunities for further education and new challenges at NCC.
