Danish teacher for 1st grade at Kalvebod Fælled School (maternity leave substitute)

At Kalvebod Fælled Skole we are looking for an engaged Danish teacher for a maternity leave replacement in the 1st year group with start on 1 January 2027. With us you will become part of a skilled and experienced team, where there are two adults in every lesson and we work closely together on both teaching and the children’s well-being.

About the position

You will become a Danish teacher and class teacher in the 1st year group, where you together with your colleagues must create a safe, varied and engaging teaching with a focus on the children’s academic and social development.

The position includes

• Danish, physical education and Christianity in the 1st year group
• class teacher role in close collaboration with the year group team
• co-teaching with a focus on participation opportunities, differentiation and clear classroom management
• close collaboration with teachers, pedagogues and parents.

If you also have competencies in music or nature/technology, that is an advantage, but not decisive.

• are a trained teacher with competencies in Danish – whether you are newly qualified or experienced
• are passionate about beginner teaching in Danish and want to create varied teaching
• are a clear and present class leader who creates safe frameworks and good relationships with the children
• have an understanding of children's different starting points and work to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate and succeed
• thrive in close teamwork and see the strength in having more people on the task
• are curious about co-teaching and joint development of the teaching
• contribute positively to both the academic and social community.

Employment terms

The maternity leave replacement is full-time with start on 1 January 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the employment we will obtain child and criminal record checks and take references.
