Development consultant with a special focus on day care

We are seeking a development consultant with a particular focus on day care who can be a driving force in strengthening recruitment to day care and increasing families' awareness of day care in Brøndby Municipality.

A central role in the development of day care

With the budget agreement for 2027-2030, the City Council has allocated funds to strengthen the effort to recruit to day care and to increase information about day care among families with children.

As a development consultant, you will be the lead for this effort. You will thus have a central role in translating the City Council's ambitions into concrete initiatives – from analysis and idea development to implementation, follow-up and political reporting.

You will work closely with the management of the day care, other consultants in the early childhood sector, as well as relevant partners and stakeholders.

Your primary tasks will be

• Plan and drive the process for following up on the budget agreement with a focus on day care.
• Identify development needs and prepare proposals for initiatives that can make it more attractive to become a day care provider in Brøndby Municipality.
• Develop proposals for how families' awareness of and interest in day care can be increased.
• Monitor the development of recruitment to day care and parents' applications.
• Prepare reports to the Children and Schools Committee on the initiatives that are launched and on the development in the area.
• Collaborate broadly across the day care sector with the implementation of political decisions and municipal strategies with a consistent thread to the municipal inspections, in cooperation with the rest of the consultancy team as well as the deputy head and the head of the day care area.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a relevant higher education degree and a solid interest and experience with the day care sector.
• Has experience from a politically governed organization and an understanding of the interaction between politics, administration and practice.
• Has knowledge of the Day Care Act, the strengthened pedagogical curriculum and municipal frameworks for quality development and supervision.
• Has experience with development work, project management, process facilitation and implementation.
• Is strong in collaboration across different professional disciplines and can create progress in complex processes.
• Has good oral and written communication skills and can tailor your communication to different recipients and partners.

About the position

The position is located in the Daycare Administration in Brøndby Municipality and reports to the Deputy Head of the Day Care area Camilla Wessman. The position is 37 hours per week with start date 1 February 2027.
