About the job

Would you like to help create strong leadership and high quality in home care?

As a district leader, you will be an important part of a home care service where professionalism, collaboration and care for both citizens and employees are at the center. You are close to the daily operations and create direction, security and followership through visible and present leadership. Together with your fellow leaders, you take responsibility for the whole and actively contribute to developing a home care service where we succeed through community, quality and strong cross-disciplinary collaboration.

So perhaps you are our new district leader in Home Care.

One home care service in development

The Home Care in Helsingør Municipality provides multidisciplinary care and nursing journeys to about 1,700 citizens and consists of about 500 employees spread over six sites.

We have brought the home care under one common leadership and work across districts to create a stronger common direction, greater coherence and a shared responsibility for the entire home care service. At the same time, we are in the midst of an exciting development, where, among other things, holistic care, fixed multidisciplinary teams, the Elderly Reform and the Health Reform set new demands on how we cooperate, lead and organize ourselves.

As district leader you will therefore be an important part of both the close leadership in your district and the development of the entire home care service.

About the job

You report to the head of home care and join, together with the other district leaders, the home care service's overall leadership group. You must create the framework for employees to succeed with the core task, and for citizens to experience a professionally well-founded, cohesive and dignified service.

Your leadership must be visible, present and clear. You must be able to set direction and follow up – but also be curious about practice and create engagement and ownership through dialogue and involvement.

A key part of the assignment is to ensure daily operations run smoothly. You must have an eye for resources, capacity, economy and the working environment and be able to prioritize when everyday needs and considerations pull in different directions.

At the same time we expect you to look beyond your own district. We want a strong management community where district leaders take joint responsibility for the entire home care, share knowledge and experience and find solutions across.

You will, among other things, have the responsibility to

  • create clear direction and ensure stable and well-functioning daily operations
  • lead, develop and retain employees and support a good working environment
  • ensure high professional quality and coherence in citizens' pathways
  • work systematically with resource management, capacity planning and economy
  • translate new requirements, strategies and decisions into meaningful practice
  • support the implementation of new work processes and development initiatives
  • work closely with coordinators and other professional and support functions
  • actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration around citizens' total needs
  • be an active part of the home care leadership group and contribute to joint solutions across districts. Who are you?

We are looking for a leader who can stand firmly in day-to-day operations and help develop home care.

You have leadership experience and preferably experience from the health and care sector or another complex operating organization. You understand what it takes to lead employees with different professional backgrounds and to balance professional quality, well-being, citizens' needs and the resources we have available.

As a person you are a leader who builds trust through presence, clarity and integrity. You have the courage to set direction and make decisions, even when the framework changes. At the same time you meet people and tasks with curiosity, collaborate naturally across, and have an eye for both employees, professional quality, operations and the shared task in home care.

You will become part of a strong management community

You will become part of a leadership group where we want to actively use each other and take joint responsibility for the development of home care. We work with clearer common frames and direction, while there must be room for leadership close to employees and the local everyday life.

You are not alone with the task either. The home care has cross-cutting functions that support operations, quality and development, and there is access to support functions including HR, finance, working environment as well as quality and development.

We offer

  • A diverse leadership position with great opportunity to influence both daily life in your own district and the development of the entire home care service.
  • A workplace with high professionalism, engaged employees and big ambitions for the future of home care.
  • A leadership community where cooperation, shared responsibility and development are high on the agenda.
  • Possibility for ongoing leadership development and professional sparring.
