About the job

Do you dream of a central role in child and adolescent psychiatry? Then look here! We are expanding and are looking for the perfect SAK/medical secretary for a full-time position in the youth ward B293 at the Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, The Outpatient House in Glostrup

Are you passionate about making a real difference for children and young people in psychiatry? Are you structured, approachable, dedicated and trained as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator? Then read on here.

In the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Region of the Capital, we conduct assessment and treatment for the many children and young people who struggle with serious psychiatric difficulties. As a secretary in the BUC you will work closely with our many skilled and dedicated clinicians, and perform a supporting and coordinating function that enables them to achieve their important task.

Section B293 is a specialized psychosis ward, where we have gathered expertise about patients with psychosis, and our 2-year OPUS Young programme. The patients here are aged 12-17, and in the ward we also see patients for assessment and treatment under main functions such as ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, etc. The ward has, as of the turn of the year, become an independent ward, where there are 3 medical secretaries employed, and we therefore now need more hands for the important administrative task we perform in the BUC.

The Outpatient House contains five wards and patient groups aged 8-17. Here you are surrounded by 28 administrative colleagues, medical secretaries, health administrative coordinators, receptionists and service assistants, who ensure thorough training and strong sparring in everyday life.

All secretaries in the BUC are gathered under the title KS – Clinical Secretariat . The aim is to strengthen collaboration and ensure uniform workflows across wards and sites. We continuously work with professional development, teaching and optimization – and also place importance on a good social community in a busy everyday life. We foresee a time in the secretariat where the way we solve our administrative tasks evolves, you must want to be part of that, and find it exciting to be part of an organization where the secretaries have a large role in the administrative part of a patient pathway.

About your role and tasks

As a secretary with us you will have a very special and central function in the assessment and treatment pathways for children, the youths and their families. It is you who is likely the first they meet, you who books their appointments, you who coordinates their overall pathway and you who answers the phone when they call and need information.

It is your smile and your friendliness they meet when they enter our site, and it is your collection and registration of their information and forms that make the pathways function.

Your role and tasks are thus incredibly important, both for the families and for the clinicians who in daily practice carry out the assessment and treatment of the children and youths.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Booking and coordination of patient appointments in the Health Platform
  • Timely and correct registration in patient pathways
  • Phone handling in our call center
  • Close collaboration with clinicians on assessment and treatment pathways
  • Reception service and main reception in case of absence and holidays

We work with a 4-week rolling schedule, where we switch between functions and placements, and there are good opportunities for working from home almost every week .

Our expectations for you

  • You are trained as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator
  • You have broad experience with the Health Platform
  • You are structured, systematic and good at maintaining an overview
  • You are friendly and welcoming and take pride in collaborating with colleagues, as well as patients and relatives
  • You are reliable and responsible
  • You want to become part of a workplace where tasks develop and where the administrative task is a big part of a good patient pathway, where we have an active role in ensuring that the assessment pathway flows smoothly for the clinicians

Organization in Clinical Secretariat

The total secretarial group in the BUC is organizationally gathered in what we today colloquially refer to as Clinical Secretariat . We consist of a large and engaged professional group of about 100 employees who work to strengthen and develop the secretaries’ tasks and ensure that our patients and relatives experience a consistently high quality.

The Clinical Secretariat has secretaries distributed across all our sites (Glostrup, The Outpatient House, Bispebjerg, Hillerød, Rigshospitalet, Herlev Hospital and Bornholm). We have 4 site-leading medical secretaries/health administrative leaders attached to the sites, a registration team, and an administrative manager, who together share responsibility for the operation, development and leadership of the Clinical Secretariat.

Salary and employment terms

We want you to start on 1 December 2026.

The position is full-time, and the working hours are mainly Monday to Friday from 07:30–15:30.

You will be employed under the collective agreement for medical secretaries, etc. You are under employment covered by the applicable working hours agreement concluded between the Regions’ Salary and Tariff Board and HK Municipal.

The region is a 24/7 area, and you will, as needed, be scheduled to work outside the outpatient clinic’s opening hours in accordance with the rules in the applicable working hours agreement.

Send your application, CV and diploma via the link no later than 18.10.2026

Please tell a little about who you are and what we can expect from you.

Interviews are expected to be held Tuesday 20 October and Thursday 22 October. We look forward to hearing from you!
