About the job
Would you like to help create closer collaboration between IT and the rest of the PET? And can you see opportunities in new ideas, qualify them and bring IT and digitisation even more into play in a data-driven organization? Then you may be our new IT Partner.
Contribute to the development of strategic IT initiatives in PET
As an IT Partner in PET you will play a central role in the organization’s technological development, which has great significance and managerial attention. Your overarching task will be to ensure a close relationship to one or more business areas, thereby helping to support PET’s critical needs. In PET we have both operational as well as cross-organizational business areas. You must be good at spotting new business potential and at understanding and translating the business needs into potential IT initiatives.
Your task will be to qualify, mature and prioritise needs together with the business and your IT colleagues.
You will join PET’s IT Partner team, where in daily work you can expect tasks of strategic and operational character, involving many different disciplines and competences. Organizationally you will be placed in the Center for Digital Services in the Section for IT Partners & Projects. Together with the team you must ensure that the IT department’s resources are used on the most important tasks and projects. Therefore you also take on a role in our IT portfolio management, where you help to qualify and prioritise tasks based on their value and what is feasible to implement.
Your tasks as IT Partner
You will among other things
- build and maintain close relationships with the business areas
- ensure that critical business needs are assessed and prioritised
- handle idea submissions and screening of business-oriented tasks
- advise the business areas on IT possibilities
- have an across-the-board overview of ongoing IT-deliveries contracted to the business areas
- handle tasks and small projects within your area of responsibility, possibly through business analysis or project management
You have experience delivering results through IT and collaboration
We are looking for an experienced profile who can navigate a complex organization and collaborate with many different disciplines. You have experience building relationships, understanding needs and translating them into IT initiatives that create value.
As an IT Partner you will have a broad interface with specialists, managers, business analysts and project managers. Therefore it is important that you can communicate clearly and build trust with people with different professional perspectives.
We particularly emphasise that you
- have experience in stakeholder management and can build and maintain good relationships
- have good understanding of IT and can see how technology can support the organization’s needs
- can qualify and prioritise ideas and ensure progress in the tasks
- understand the collaboration and dependencies in an IT organization
- can communicate complex issues clearly and structured, both orally and in writing
Please include in your application if you have experience with project management of IT projects, business development or innovation processes, and if you are interested in possibilities within artificial intelligence and other new technologies.
A skilled IT Partner draws on multiple disciplines
There is no single specific education or career path that makes you a good IT Partner. The role requires a combination of IT understanding, organizational insight and the ability to build relationships and translate needs into concrete IT initiatives. At the same time you must thrive in an environment where you can quickly adapt and deliver results when the world around us changes.
You could, for example, have a background in IT, project management, business analysis or digitisation. The most important thing is that you have experience working across disciplines and can combine your knowledge with good judgement, solid collaboration skills and the ability to see new opportunities.
We value who you are as a person
You are proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented in your approach to tasks. You communicate clearly and can make complex issues understandable for people at different levels in the organization.
You are skilled at building trust and good relationships. At the same time you have clear communication and can help translate strategic decisions into concrete results.
You work in a structured way, keep an overview and thrive with shifting priorities. You do not get thrown by unforeseen challenges, but see them as opportunities for learning and development.
The close cooperation with the business is decisive, and you must therefore have a strong interest in building knowledge about PET’s business areas.
In PET we also place high emphasis on certain personal competences. These are competences that we believe are essential for all PET employees regardless of professional background. We do this because it is important to us that we find the right match. You can read about the competences here www.PET.dk/job.
