About the job

We are looking for a social- and health care assistant for day shifts at our site in Espergærde.

Are you someone who values the good relationship with the citizen, and who knows how much it means to be met with care, respect and professionalism?

Do you have an eye for the small changes in everyday life, and do you thrive on both working independently and being part of a strong community?

Then we would like to hear from you!

In home care you come close to the people you help. You learn their habits, wishes and needs to know them, and you help create security and continuity in their everyday life.

Your effort is about more than personal care and practical help. It is also about supporting the citizen in preserving their skills, using their own resources and living a life with as much self-determination as possible.

You are often the one who first notices when something is different. Therefore your observations are important, and it matters that you respond to changes, document your observations and follow up when there is a need.

We work rehabilitatively and start from the individual citizen's wishes, needs and resources. Based on the new elderly law, we focus on holistic and coherent pathways, where the citizen's self-determination is at the center.

We are most successful when we help each other

You will become part of a cross-disciplinary work community with social- and health care assistants, social- and health care assistants, nurses, therapists, pharmaconomists and social workers.

We actively use each other’s professionalities and share knowledge so we together can find the best solutions for the citizen. At our interdisciplinary meetings we discuss needs, observations and changes and agree on how best to support the further process.

We expect you to take responsibility for your tasks and use your professionalism – and to speak up and seek sparring when something requires a joint assessment.

We imagine that you …

  • are educated as a social- and health care assistant
  • meet the citizens with care, respect and decency
  • work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • have an eye for the citizen's resources and support the individual in handling as much as possible on their own
  • are attentive to changes in the citizen's condition and act on your observations
  • document your work and contribute to ensuring that important knowledge is passed on
  • contribute positively to collaboration and thrive on learning together with others.

You do not need to know everything from day one. The most important is that you want to use your professional skills, are curious and want to help develop both your own practice and our joint work.

What do you get with us?

You will have an independent and meaningful job where you can build good relationships with the citizens and experience the value of continuity in care.

You become part of a home care team where we place emphasis on

  • professional sparring and opportunity to develop yourself
  • interdisciplinary collaboration with focus on the citizen's overall journey
  • colleagues who help each other in a daily life where plans can change
  • a work community with room for diversity, good humor and a good laugh.

Little about the position

  • hours: 32-37 hours
  • Location: Espergærde
  • Working weekend every 3rd weekend.
  • Salary and appointment according to the applicable collective agreement
  • Application deadline 24 November 2026
  • Employment by agreement or 1 January 2027

We know that everyday life in home care can be changeable. Therefore it is important to us that we collaborate, share our knowledge and find solutions together.

For us, good home care is about creating security, supporting the citizen's self-determination and ensuring that the individual is met with respect and professionalism.

If you have questions about the position or want to know more about us, you are welcome to contact district manager Marie Justesen at phone 4186 9280

We look forward to hearing from you! 😊
