Driver for the Assistive Devices Depot

The assistive devices depot in Haderslev Municipality is seeking an engaged driver colleague for delivery and pickup of assistive devices to citizens and nursing homes in our municipality.

The assistive devices depot is located at Solsikkevej 2A in Haderslev City.

The assistive devices depot is organizationally placed under Training and Assistive Devices in Health and Prevention and consists of depot staff, technicians, assistive device drivers and meal service drivers.

The depot is a storage and distribution center for reused and APV assistive devices in Haderslev Municipality.

You will join a group of 14 employees.

Your primary tasks will be delivery and pickup of assistive devices in citizens' homes, at nursing homes, housing facilities and more. You will also need to set up, take down and troubleshoot key systems as well as perform minor repairs and adjustments of assistive devices, which is why it is advantageous if you are not afraid to use a tool.

A typical workday

Your workday begins by actively participating in our morning meeting, where we coordinate the day’s special tasks. Thereafter you pack the car according to the route you have planned and coordinated with citizens or relatives. Your primary driving area will be the Vojens and Gram area. Since the area is farthest from the depot in Haderslev, you will generally be out on your route for most of the workday. It will be the exception that you return to the depot to load again during the day.

You must therefore enjoy working independently and be good at planning both the car, the route and the workday. Although you often work alone during the drive, you will have contact with citizens, relatives and staff at nursing homes, housing facilities and other municipal services throughout the day. For tasks requiring two employees, you plan and solve the task together with a colleague. You are therefore part of a close professional community, even though most of the workday takes place independently on your own route.

When you return to the depot later in the day, you empty the car of the collected assistive devices and prepare them so the laundry can take over the next day.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent role of 37 hours per week.

Start: as soon as possible or no later than January 1, 2027.

Salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement and in agreement with the negotiating organization. To ensure full transparency, we note that the position's salary frame is around 29,000 - 31,000 DKK per month plus pension.

When employed we will obtain a criminal record check.
