Development Center for Children and Families seeks 1 house assistant for the 24/7 department Kilden in the Children and Family Houses with expected start January 1, 2027. This is a 30-hour position.

We seek qualified staff who find energy in working to create meaning and opportunities for vulnerable children and young people. Who can see meaning in creating as home-like an environment as possible, even when the work is challenging and requires reflection in close collaboration with colleagues, pedagogues and teachers.

You will become part of a service group of 6 employees spread across the departments.

The development-oriented approach to the work is based on Mentalization-based environmental therapy. An external supervisor is attached in relation to Mentalization.

The house assistant shall in close cooperation with the department and other service staff handle domestic functions, and occasionally cover for others in the service group. The house assistant must be prepared to participate in parts of the house's rhythm including participation in meals, cooking, laundry, cleaning and participation in special events.

It is aimed that the house environment largely functions as a stable and supportive home for the house's children. Therefore it is important that our future employees are flexible and service-minded and have a good eye for what needs to be done in the house, what creates atmosphere, calm and safety for the children. There may be periods where the house assistant participates in special support functions for some children.

About Development Center for Children and Families

Development Center for Children and Families, UBF, is part of Næstved Municipality's overall special provision for particularly vulnerable children and young people. UBF spans a family-oriented preventive day-care provision, 4 24/7 departments, Elvergården, Ladbyhus and the Children and Family Houses, Skolen Ved Åsen as well as Family Care.

Target group

There are children for whom a targeted and intensive mentalization-based environmental therapeutic intervention is required. The children are typically gifted boys and girls aged 0 – 18 years distributed across the departments, who due to early emotional frustration and neglect and trauma within the first years of life have developed extensive attachment disorders.

Working hours

The positions have an average weekly hour count of 30 hours.

Working hours are in the mornings and daytime and are aligned with the house's rhythm.

There may occasionally be a need for changes due to special events.

Evening work can occur to a limited extent.

Qualifications

• You are educated within nutrition and diet, pedagogy or another related education or have good experience and corresponding competences. Preferably experience in working with vulnerable children and young people.
• You have experience with food handling, meal plans, preparation, sustainability and have attention to tidiness and good hygiene.
• You are creative in relation to food and preparation and can translate this to the needs of children and young people.
• You can follow guidelines and instructions.
• You have a driver's license
• You are stable.

Salary and terms of employment: Occurs in accordance with applicable collective agreement and agreement with the negotiating organization.
