Nørrebjergskolen is a special school for students with special needs – extensive general learning difficulties. The student group is 6-17 years old, and a large part of the students have multiple disabilities. The students come from the municipalities on Funen. In the school year 2026-2027 there are 160 students enrolled at the school. There are teachers, pedagogues and pedagogical assistants/assistant teachers employed.

The school day is from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and there is supervision at the school from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on school days and school holidays. At Nørrebjergskolen we have developed our own student plan/notice book in collaboration with external partners.

We expect that you can and are interested in

• Create learning and development for students with multiple disabilities
• Create learning for students with a very low cognitive level
• Plan, carry out and assess supportive learning processes for the school’s student group
• Work with alternative augmentative communication
• Work multidisciplinary in self-managing teams and with external partners
• Work based on low-arousal methods, such as Low Arousal and Talking Mat

Requirements for professional competencies

• requirement of education as a pedagogue
• preferably with PD, neuropsychology, special pedagogy
• can work based on Nørrebjergskolen’s mission and value base
• can establish precise pedagogical strategies for students at early development stages in relation to learning goals and the special-pedagogical notice book (SPM)
• master special-pedagogical methods
• can handle students with outwardly directed behavior
• has documented special-pedagogical experience

Other competency expectations

• can cooperate with other professional groups, parents and other stakeholders
• can set learning goals for the most cognitively weak students
• can work with high professional standards and complexity

Salary and employment terms

Permanent position 37 hours with start as soon as possible.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the current agreement between KL and BUPL. The position is remunerated depending on experience and qualifications with an expected monthly salary level in the interval DKK 35,200-40,500 + pension.
