Vestbyens Børnehus is seeking a trained pedagogue for a permanent position in our nursery with starting date January 4, 2027.

Who are we

Vestbyens Børnehus is an integrated kindergarten located in the western part of Viborg. We have capacity for 42 children in the nursery and 95 children in the kindergarten. The building is spread across two sites, with the nursery and kindergarten on opposite sides of Rughavevej. We are a diverse kindergarten with children and families from many different backgrounds, and we see diversity as a strength in our community.

In Vestbyens Børnehus we work to create opportunities for participation for all children. We focus on relationships, play, language development and inclusive learning environments. At the same time we work purposefully with Viborg Municipality's initiatives around strong child communities, an evaluative culture and high pedagogical quality.

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who

• is interested in or has experience with work in the nursery
• is present and can create secure relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• sees play, curiosity and children's perspectives as central elements in the pedagogical work
• can work in a structured way while being flexible in a changing daily life
• wants to contribute to professional reflections and development of practice
• sees parent collaboration as an important part of the core task
• thrives in a house with great diversity.

Salary and employment

The position is generally 37 hours per week.

Salary is set based on the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented professional experience and your professional and personal qualifications. Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary setting in accordance with the rules on equal pay for equal work or work of equal value.
