Educator for Jægerhuset

Bring what you’re passionate about to work

Do you know the birds by their song? Do you play the guitar every evening? Or can you not help building things? At Jægerhuset, what you’re passionate about becomes pedagogy. Because that’s what the children can feel.

See what your daily life could look like with us . Meet your new colleagues, and take the quiz "What are you passionate about?". It takes 3 minutes, and it will give you an answer about what your daily life at Jægerhuset can look like.

If you’re passionate about something, we buy it Christina, our leader, has one rule: Prefer what you’re passionate about to Pinterest clips. If you have an idea, you create the framework together, so it becomes pedagogy. If you suggest a book, she buys it. She would have liked to show you our professional library, but all the books are borrowed.

Your colleagues have fire in their eyes Pia is a species nerd and teaches the two-year-olds to tell a crow from a dove. Now they shout "crow!" when it sits on the roof.

Louise is deputy head and passionate about relationships. If she sees you succeed with a game, she comes afterwards and asks: "What did you just do there?"

Amalie is passionate about language. The other day her turn ended at a robot lawn mower, because it was the most exciting thing in the world for the two-year-olds. Then it was the turn, and the words came on their own.

And when Christina hears a colleague stop and give a child a chance to act instead of scolding, she thinks: Yes!

You are outdoors. A lot. The Troll Forest is a five-minute walk away. Sometimes the children can hear the trolls snoring. Twice a year you have forest weeks, three weeks at a time. And in minus five degrees the sleds come out.

28 minutes from Nørreport Jægerhuset is 750 meters from Kokkedal Station. The station is not only your way to work. It is also the children’s way to Kronborg, Louisiana and the nature playground in Skodsborg.

You start well You start with a meeting with Christina about the house’s pedagogical basis. Then you get podcasts about views on children to take home, and you follow up at least twice in the first few months. And your colleagues will of course help you along the way.

Is it you? You are trained as an éducateur (pedagogue/teacher), and you want to use your full professional capacity. You want to work in a shared pedagogical direction and to talk professionally with engaged parents. You want to be the one our young colleagues and 4.g students can lean on. And you think outdoor life is great, even when it’s cold.

"I need one more person to play ball against. A colleague who gives a bit of resistance, wonders, and is curious." Louise, educator and deputy head.
