Educator wanted for play and active Saturdays with a boy in Søborg

Do you want to use your pedagogical experience in a role with room for bike rides, Pokémon Go and play? We are looking for an educator for a happy and active 7-year-old boy who needs clear boundaries and a safe adult to share activities with.

About the assignment

The boy lives in Søborg and loves being outdoors and moving. Together you can go on a bike ride, jump on a trampoline or go on a Pokémon hunt. At home you can, among other things, play with cars, build with LEGO or play on the iPad. You participate in the games and take the initiative for activities based on his interests.

He has infantil autism and ADHD and needs structure and predictability. He can quickly lose interest in sedentary activities, and transitions and changes can be difficult for him. You help make it clear what you will do, and prepare him for when an activity ends and a new one begins.

He can react by hitting or speaking harshly. Therefore you must be able to stay calm, set clear boundaries and use your experience to prevent and manage the situations. There may also be a need for help with drying after toilet visits.

About you

You are a trained educator and have experience with children with autism, ADHD and challenging behavior.

You communicate clearly and can create an understandable framework around your time together. You are patient when he needs support for a transition, and can adapt the activities when his interest changes. At the same time you want to be active and participate in the games both at home and outdoors.

Working hours

You work five hours every other Saturday. The hours are planned in the time frame 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the citizen's own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Danish Business Authority. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work-related injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
