About the job

26 pupil hours, fixed supervision, high professionalism and colleagues who support one another – could you be our new pedagogue?

At Øresundsskolen on Østerbro and Nørrebro we have big ambitions, strong communities and something truly special to offer.

Imagine a workplace where you make a difference for fantastic children every day. Where your colleagues are as passionate about the task as you are. Where professional development, supervision and sparring are a natural part of the workday – and where the management is close by and has time for you. Does that sound like a place you would like to work? Then please read on.

At Øresundsskolen (next to Svanemøllen Station and with an early-years department at Hothers Plads on Nørrebro), we want to create Denmark’s best special school. Not because we think we are there already, but because we work every day with a clear aim to become even better.

We have 140 wonderful pupils, engaged parents and more than 150 skilled staff who together create a school characterized by high professionalism, strong relationships and a very special sense of community.

Due to expansion we now have room for more good colleagues

We believe that good special pedagogy starts with staff who thrive, develop and have proper frameworks for their work.

Therefore we offer something we are quite proud of

  • Time for professionalism: As a full-time employed pedagogue, you have about 26 pupil hours per week. The rest of the time is allocated to preparation, meetings, supervision and professional development.
  • Systematic supervision: Regular internal supervision and external supervision by Bo Hejlskov for all teams.
  • Close professional support: A full-time professional advisor who supports the pedagogical practice and is available in everyday work.
  • Leadership that has your back: We prioritize visible leadership, presence, sparring and a good working environment. With us you should feel seen, heard and taken seriously.
  • Flexibility and influence: Working hours are generally between 9:00 and 16:30, with three weekly closing days. Teams have the possibility to design their schedules with attention to both the task and the individual employee.
  • Good frameworks and resources: A sound economy, good staffing, newly renovated facilities, own vehicles and plenty of opportunities for good activities.
  • A community you want to stay in: We prioritize staff well-being, communal events, humor and strong collegial relationships. Many of our staff have been here for many years – and we are proud of that.

Here we succeed together – not apart

At Øresundsskolen we believe the best results are created in collaboration. Pedagogues, teachers and pedagogue assistants work closely and as equals on the pupils’ well-being, learning and development. We share knowledge, help one another and are curious about how we can continually become more competent.

As a pedagogue you will become an important part of a fixed class team and our KKFO. You will have the opportunity to create safe relationships, developing activities and meaningful communities for pupils with extensive psychological and physical functional impairments. It is a daily life that requires both professionalism, creativity, patience and a big heart. And it is a daily life that gives back incredibly much.

We do not expect you to know everything from the start. Instead we promise that you will not stand alone. We prioritise thorough introduction, close sparring and ongoing professional development.

Perhaps we are what you are looking for?

We are not merely looking for new pedagogues. We are looking for colleagues who want to be part of a school where we care for each other, our pupils and our parents. A school where ambitions are high, professionalism is high, and where there is room for laughter, belonging and job satisfaction every day.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement. Upon appointment we will obtain a child protection and criminal record check as well as references. Remember to upload your CV and proof of education together with your application.

We look forward to meeting you and perhaps welcoming you to a workplace where we together make a big difference every single day.
