Educator or SSA is sought for the care home Stausgård, where presence and time for each resident are valued highly.

At Stausgård there live 3 youths with visual impairment and multiple functional impairments.

The target group's mental development level varies from about 3 months up to 2 years.

The pedagogical effort in the care home is individually planned and based on each individual's prerequisites, resources and wishes for influence on their own life.

Residents may have complex health-related points of attention, for which an individually tailored effort is made in collaboration with health professionals in the offering and Synscenter Refsnæs nurses.

Your profile

You naturally put the resident at the center and work calmly and respectfully according to individual goals and sub-goals.

You find joy in the very small everyday victories, are patient in the relationship with the individual and are also able to adapt activities according to the person's daily form. You would like to involve and engage in the team, and see supervision as an opportunity for development.

The position

You will from the start participate in an onboarding process, including a number of follow-up shifts per resident. We offer basic and specialization training that includes, among other things, teaching in ADL, Orientation & Mobility, effective use of senses, etc.

In addition to the pedagogical and health-related activities, your tasks will include

• Collaboration with relatives/next of kin
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with nurses, occupational and physical therapists
• Handling of personal hygiene and practical tasks at home such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
• Function as medication responsible and/or contact person, including updating FMK and handling health-related documentation

Working hours

Hours are distributed across day and evening shifts and every other weekend. You will have a great opportunity to influence the planning of your work schedule. Starting salary for collective agreement employees

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Children and young people registered in the VisRegister or meeting the criteria can use the services. The target group also includes children and young people with additional functional impairments including blindness.

Synscenter Refsnæs is a highly specialized offering that works knowledge-based and multidisciplinary with development, learning, well-being and citizenship for the target group in a nationwide collaboration.

The offerings include knowledge work, specialized advice and guidance, individual assessment, courses and group programs, material production, school, after-school care, STU and residential care.
