Educator sought for Skals Børnehus

Do you want to help create children's lives with sparkle in their eyes?

At Skals Børnehus we are looking for an engaged and professionally strong pedagogue for a permanent position of 37 hours per week, with start on December 1, 2026. The position is anchored in the kindergarten, but you should have the desire to and see the value in working across our departments when the task calls for it.

We are two kindergartens with a common leadership, common values and a common goal: That all children experience joy, develop life skills and have the opportunity to master their own life. Our pedagogical work takes its starting point in Viborg Municipality's focus areas: Evaluation culture, We learn together and Strong child communities .

Skals Børnehus offers modern and inspiring learning environments for both nursery and preschool children, while Skovbørnehaven Fredly forms the frame for a unique everyday life close to nature. Together we create diverse learning environments with room for different children, employees and competences.

We are seeking a pedagogue who

· Is educated as a pedagogue and passionate about making a difference for children.

· Can create safe, developing and inspiring learning environments.

· Sees play as an important foundation for children’s well-being, development and learning.

· Has an eye for both the individual child and the significance of the community.

· Is curious about their own practice and motivated by professional development.

· Rates a close and trusting collaboration with parents.

· Actively contributes to collaboration with colleagues and cross-disciplinary partners.

· Takes initiative, shows engagement and at the same time sees the strength in the solutions of the community.

· Is keen to work from a playful approach, where the children’s perspectives and initiatives are in the center.

Knowledge of TOPI, VLS or Sampraksis is an advantage but not a prerequisite. The most important is your curiosity, your commitment and your desire to learn. We ensure a thorough introduction to our pedagogical practice and the tools we work with.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary is set based on the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications. Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary setting in accordance with the rules on equal pay for the same work or work of the same value.
