Environmental Worker in Frederikshavn Municipality

We are looking for a committed environmental colleague for a full-time position in our Nature and Environment Department.

About the job

The tasks span from case processing and inspections to participation in various interdisciplinary project groups. In Frederikshavn Municipality we value collaboration highly. You will become part of a team of 11 dedicated colleagues who work with companies, agriculture, inspections, environmental approvals, waste, wastewater, heat supply, soil contamination, environmental assessment and other environmental matters.

You will be working in a mid-sized municipality with two large commercial harbours and many affiliated companies within the maritime industry. There are also a number of companies in the food industry as well as many smaller companies in the rest of the municipality. We have a strategy for development and growth, and at the moment it is especially evident in the defense industry, where an ammunition factory and a shipyard for the Navy's new ships are being established here.

It would be good if you have previously worked with authority processing in the environmental field; otherwise we will train you. It is important that you can see yourself in Frederikshavn Municipality for a long time. In addition, you should have an interest in environmental law, enjoy municipal case processing and inspections, and be good at collaborating both internally and externally. You will work with discharge permits and connection permits, environmental approvals for larger companies, environmental assessments, water management or the Water Framework Directive.

Your Profile

Relevant natural science education, e.g., engineer, chemist, agricultural economist, master in environmental science or similar

Good communication skills both orally and in writing

Driver's license B

Employment details

Permanent position with 37 hours/week

Start as soon as possible
