Are you ready for a run? Become a companion for a social and active man

About the citizen

An important part of this companionship is physical activity. The citizen seeks a companion who would like to run with him – about 5 km. The run takes place as the companion pushes the citizen in his manual wheelchair.

He is a 40-year-old man living in Slagelse, who is seeking a companion 15 hours per month. He has cerebral palsy and uses an electric wheelchair daily, but leads an active life with work, interests and a desire for experiences.

He has a good sense of humor and appreciates social activities.

In his spare time he enjoys among others concerts, stand-up, flea markets – both for the atmosphere, the stalls and the music – as well as trips in the center.

About the companionship

The companionship takes place primarily in the local area and can consist of both short trips and a few full days. Wednesdays and weekends suit best, but companionship can also take place on other days when the citizen is off work.

It is important for the citizen that the companion is present, listening and calm. Often the companionship is simply about being together. The citizen will, as a rule, like to communicate himself, but there may be situations where he cannot express himself verbally, and where the companion must help convey.

There are no requirements for special education or experience , but it is important that the chemistry is good, and that the companion is keen on a collaboration where needs and wishes are in focus.
