Your tasks

You will work from a cognitive approach and use environmental therapy as a central part of the treatment. Together with your colleagues, you must create a safe and predictable environment where the individual patient and their needs are central.

In the department you will perform the role of the contact person, which means;

• You are the contact person for a group of patients, where you must have a good knowledge of their treatment both for the hospitalization and their outpatient contact
• You conduct ward rounds and conversations with relatives together with a physician or psychologist
• You collaborate with our multidisciplinary partners
• You observe and document symptoms as well as effects and side effects of medication
• In collaboration with the patient you develop a patient plan

About us

You will become part of Ward 808, which is an open ward located at Brøndbyøstervej 160. The ward is staffed for 12 patients, who mainly have symptoms within the schizophrenic spectrum.

You will become a colleague to an open, highly engaged and development-oriented staff group, which consists of nurses, social and health care assistants, doctors, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, a psychologist and a social worker. We also have a coordinating recovery mentor.

You will be part of a ward where we work to ensure good coordination around the patient’s treatment, and our goal is that treatment – and sector transitions do not stand in the way of our patients receiving the best possible care.

We want, a trained nurse or social- and health care assistant who

• has experience with psychiatry
• is responsible and professionally grounded, and curious about new knowledge
• can reflect on one’s own practice and actively participate in professional discussions
• can balance collaboration with several actors around the patient

You meet the patient with energy and can accommodate the patient’s difficult life stories. You are confident and have a positive mood.

Your salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time role with mixed shifts and weekend duty as a standard every 2nd weekend. Start on 1 January 2027 or by agreement.

Depending on education, employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement for

• non-management staff in the Health Cartel area negotiated between the Health Cartel partners, including the Danish Nurses Organisation and RLTN, with salary placement as a nurse
• social and health personnel negotiated between RLTN and FOA with salary placement as a social and health care assistant

The 24/7 ward is staffed around the clock, and you will therefore be scheduled with mixed shifts in accordance with the rules of the current working time agreement.

You will be employed as a nurse in the Capital Region of Denmark, with service currently at the Psychiatric Center Glostrup, Ward 808.
