An exciting position at the Nutrition Unit, Endocrinology Department M, OUH

Nurse wanted for a permanent position as of January 1, 2027 The Nutrition Unit is Department M's highly specialized unit for patients with eating disorders. The Nutrition Unit handles treatment of patients with anorexia and bulimia who are somatically at risk due to their eating disorder. The Nutrition Unit is located at the patient hotel and has room for 7 patients. Our core tasks are concentrated around 5 structured meals with subsequent rest period.

The Nutrition Unit has a close collaboration with Department P and BUP. We have a mobile outreach team that supports patients in the period after discharge and places increased focus on collaboration with and guidance of residences and municipal services.

In the Nutrition Unit you work in a small team that, in close collaboration with the physician, dietitian, physiotherapist and psychiatric department, municipality and residences, manages the somatic treatment of patients with eating disorders.

As a nurse in the Nutrition Unit you will also be responsible for independently running a nursing outpatient clinic within anorexia. The Nutrition Unit receives patients from across the country, both elective and acute. We have a patient-centered focus and aim to provide nursing of high professional quality. We use Fundamentals of Care as a reference framework and have a strong focus on relational work and communication both in patient work and intercollegial relations.

We work with evidence-based practice (EBP), where we continuously renew and update our professional knowledge within the specialty in order to provide highly specialized nursing, which is also part of OUH’s Nursing Strategy 25-28 – Excellent Nursing.
